''When Hurricane Hugo destroyed the island's only Olympic size swimming pool in 1989, forcing Duncan to swim in the ocean, he soon lost enthusiasm due to his fear of sharks''

It is true, fear of sharks and heights.
But the other thing about Duncan giving up swimming was the loss of his mom. She was his biggest cheerleader. He said it just didn't feel the same.

Never denied it wasn't true it's just funny how a hurricane and fear of sharks could turn tim into one of the greatest bball players ever
