There has been talk today that some poor Nugget fans paid their good money for tickets to see Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker ... but instead saw a whole bunch of Malik Hairston.
There are aggrieved NBA fans out there! Right? There must be. Several of us have discussed that angle (http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/0-38-127/Wednesday-Bullets.html). But are there hurt people out there? I haven't heard from any.
But I did hear from John Park Williams at Wake Forest Law:
A few weeks back the Black Law Students Association here at Wake Forest Law was giving away tickets to see the "mighty Spurs" play in Charlotte. In a school of over 300, they gave away two tickets (both students were from Texas).
Law kids are very busy, so maybe we all just couldn't fit it into our schedule to drive an hour south to see the four-time champion San Antonio Spurs?
Well, it was MLK Day. We didn't have school. The game was at in the afternoon.
The point is, NO ONE GOES TO AN NBA GAME TO SEE THE DAMN SAN ANTONIO SPURS.
LOL, Wake Forest too :wakeup

That's what happens when you have a league that cares more about dunks and individual play than it does its champion.
