View Full Version : A Spurs and Cavs Finals Rematch would be perfect.

Even better than a Lakers and Celtics final imo.

I can just imagine the tv spots describing the finals...

The greatest team of the last 10 years.. after a decade of dominance meets a young a rising star again that was swept in the finals previously.

Has Lebron matured enough and understood that it take a team to win a championship? Every team needs hero, but every hero needs a team.

Oh I get goose bumps imagining this rematch..

I'd rather play Boston..

TD vs. KG would be epic..TD vs. the same that thought they should have had him..big 3 vs. big 3..Bowen vs. Allen..2 similar teams in style..

Stern probably gets hives imagining it.

Lakers Celtics rematch, or Spurs Cavs rematch? Thats two tough choices IMO (as a fan of the basketball, as spursfan you know the answer)

Agreed. From a marketing standpoint it is probably better than a Cavs/Spurs match up. I can't imagine a better scenario than the Spurs taking down the NBA's media darling.

I also rather play Boston. Beating KG at the hands of Duncan would be priceless to watch

1. Spurs vs Celtics
2. Lakers vs Cavaliers
3. Spurs vs Cavaliers
4. Lakers vs Celtics

I don't care about David Stern and the NBA marketing dept.
I only want to see the Spurs beating the piss out of somebody in the finals.

David Stern will make sure it's gonna be Lebron vs Kobe in the Finals.

I'll have to agree. Spurs can still make it there but they will have to beat all odds to get there.

Keys to victory: don't worry about the refs and just play your game.

I want Spurs vs. Celtics. Maybe then the Spurs would get some attention.

Stern didn't exclude the Spurs from being the best team of the decade so far. I don't see him changing this purposely.

Lakers, Spurs, Celtics, Cavs are the best teams in the NBA right now. With the Nuggets and Magic close (Magic are screwed though). The Blazers or Hornets might F* shit up for the Lakers or Spurs. Hawks might derail the Celtics and Wizards derail the Cavs.

But still, those dark horses are long shots. More than any year in past memory, the best 2 teams get to the Finals, simple as that.

#1 thing stern wants is kobe vs lebron especially with the rivalry that is developing ( see MSG) everything else is meh its not what we wanted as long as the games are ok.

If Bynum's back, even being as objective as possible, I can't see the Spurs beating the Lakers unless they get another good big.

If Bynum's not back against the Spurs, then I'll just wait for the outcome.

The Cavs don't worry me...I was more afraid of the Magic until they lost Jameer.

I have to agree that we won't beat the Lakers in a 7-game series with Bynum back at at least 80% without a move..it doesn't have to be another big IMO, but also a SF..one of them..without Bynum, I'd actually be surprised if we lost to LA..maybe it's just me though..

Don't worry the western finals will be Lakers vs Spurs with Bynum down. Lead ref for the series will be Joey Crawford.

A better question would be: Who's going to HELP King James......

You see the Spurs will shut everyone else down and let Princess James go drag all night long.

Be careful what you wish for. These are not the 2007 Cavs. No team wants to see LeBron in a 7 game series.

Forget the last play in Game 4 in San Antonio? Or the league ordained debauchery of a schedule that had them playing LA shortly after a grueling game 7 in New Orleans.

That series could have easily gone to 7 games despite the fact that the Spurs were playing with a severely hobbled Ginobili.

I don't care that Bynum didn't play last year. The Pau Gasol collusion more than made up for his absence.

I know the Pau trade was horrible, but PLEASE stop bitching. You make all Spurs fans look bad when you whine about the past. I know it sucked, but it's just lame to keep bringing it up.:(
