Yes, as has been written, he cares about big picture, team, and winning above all else.

it couldnt have been played in SA.....you cannot skip a time zone in back to backs. If you are in MST, you can only go CST, MST, or PST.....you cannot go play in EST.

Since the Spurs were in PST for the first game, they could only play the 2nd game in PST or MST.

Now, had the 1st game been in Denver....I think they play the 2nd game in Oakland....even if the Denver game goes to OT.

I'm a spurs fan (I posted here for quite a while under the name ronaldo mcdonald, but felt like changing it), and it was actually a typo and decided to leave it. i thought what the hell.

It's a hypothetical, man.

Say they played GS in SA, and the game turned out the way it did. Would pop have sat them agaisnt Denver the next day if they came to SA and played.

I don't think he would've have. I think in that situation he would've taken the loyalty of spurs fans (who might be the best in the enite league) into account and treated them. But I'm not sure.

I think the element of playing in front of a crowd as loyal as the spurs fans have been may have weighed heavily on his mind. He doesn't give a shit about Denver fans, and I don't blame him.

No.

Big picture.

I'm a season ticket holder and I wouldn't have cared one bit.

true, it would probably be a nice change of pace watching a young lineup instead of the flopping fundamental show

He wouldn't have sat all of them, but I could see him not playing Manu and limiting Tony and Tim.

In the big picture whether or not the big 3 played in Denver doesn't make a difference.

Pop would not have done it at home. He has said for years that teams should never play the second game of a back to back at home because it cheats the home fans who support the team. He has said it is the first change he thinks they should make in the scheduling because home fans deserve to see the team playing at its best.

that wasn't a question.

then why use a question mark?
