Baron Davis (and Ricky Davis) have both been described as "abhorrent" on the midseason report cards on nba.com. I assumed Baron would bring the Golden State Baron to LA, but instead he has been plain awful.

Most notable is Davis' field goal percentage- a career low. We are a week or so into February- lets take a look at Baron' shooting:
FG%: 0.355
3P%: 0.291

Let's take a look at his shooting in some of his last games:
Memphis: 4-10
Orlando: 3-10
Miami: 3-11, including 1-6 3P

NOTE: Baron Davis is #32 in the league in 3P field goal attempts, despite his percentage from that range on the court.

He has been in a constant shooting slump since the start of the season. The Clipper have had to call upon Fren Jones and Mardy Colling to start at times. Quote from nba.com "You know things aren't looking bright when you're starting two Knicks castaways in Mardy Collins and Fred Jones."

I realise Baron Davis has been injured, but his poor shooting has been throughout the whole season. Same applies for Ricky, who is currently shooting at a worse FG% than Baron! :wow
In his last few games Baron has picked it up the slack slightly, but he's playing reduced minutes (25 or so).

Will he (and Ricky) regain his old form? Who knows! He might shooting himself out of it, or shoot himself into it further. But it doesn't help when you're a player that wants to be on a winning team.

Austin Toros seems to be very interested with the Clippers.

Beginning the season, he said Manu for Kaman.
Now, it is the double Davis FG%.

Baron Davis has always been an inefficient player, except for the bullshit fluke 2007 series against the Mavs where he nailed 3 pointers on one leg, bullshit halfcourt shots, etc.

He's a streaky shooter who has some of the worst shot selection in the NBA. He has been injured which makes it harder to get high % shots. He has never had good FG% for all these reasons.

against Bobcats: 1-7 FG, 0-4 3P

might as well put Ricky in: 1-6, 0-3 3P

He's pretty good when you don't guard him.

He was NEVER a good shooter. The system he was in golden state fast break creating turnovers don't be afraid to shoot the 3 etc. They helped hide the fact that he has a horrible shot selection. On just about any other team this will show up and it's glaring now. The best he can hope for is to be traded back to the warriors where he fits in best.
