Actually, a Gasol-type trade wouldn't involve shipping out anyone who could remotely help the Spurs in 2008-09.

I really dont see us making any moves now. Though I wish we had a nice big man I think we can make do with our player named Kurt O' Bonner. No way we trade any of the Big Three, Mason or Hill. We need to keep Bowen, Finley and Vaughn too (til the end of the season) as they have been loyal players and good teammates. That leaves Hairston and Mahatma.

For a team that utilizes the dribble-drive offense such as the Nets, Hill has to be a salivating option.

This game pretty much showed that we can't get rid of Mason, Hill, or the others that have been recently mentioned in trade talk. Our only trading assets are Udoka, Oberto, and Vaughn. Even at that, Vaughn seems to have a stable spot on the roster since he's now in coach mode. So unless the target we're going for is making $4.7M or less, trade talk should be pretty much dead.
