View Full Version : Cavs shouldn't worry, it was a fluke loss

yeah.... Lebron struggling from the field. Lamar fucking Odom nearly putting up a 30/20 game? Derek Fisher NOT blowing his layups? Cavs missing a slew of free throws and open looks?

The Cavs shouldn't worry too much about this game, it was simply an anomaly. The Lamar Odom we saw today is a Lamar that shows up once every 25 games, and thus is expected to show up 0-1 times in a 7 game series.

Yeah... wouldn't put too much trust in a 21 YO in the playoffs with 3 knee injuries in his past. Bynum has a bright future, but yeah... wouldn't trust a 21 YO in the playoffs.

The Lakers, we already knew they were a great regular season team. They were great after the Gasol trade and great thus far this year.

But whatever it is, come playoff time their bench players stop making their fluke bullshit shots. And come Finals time, Kobe turns into an ordinary 40% shooter.

So again, the Cavs shouldn't be too concerned about this fluke loss.

lol funny thread.
Lebron vs. Lakers this season

9-25 from the field in game 1
5-20 in game 2

Fluke?

Lebron always elevates his game come playoff time. That's why a 50 win Cavs team took a 64 win Pistons team to 7, that's why a 50 win Cavs team made the Finals, and that's why a 45 win Cavs team (Pythagorean record of 39-43) took the champions to 7 games last year.

Kobe, on the other hand, is known for disappearing acts in the Finals.

So yeah, fluke loss.

Again nothing personal against the Lakers, they're probably the 2nd best team in basketball, but the Cavs are better.

Fluke would be Lebron hitting a FT in the final minutes of a game.

Nothing about today's game was fluke.

Did Lebron even play against the Spurs in the Finals? Did any of the Cavs?

BTW after the way Dirk and the Mavs disappeared and choked away the Finals after being up 2-0, you have no room to bash Kobe.

atleast Lebron can elevate his game in the PO's...unfortunately, its quite the other way around for Dallas.

The Cavs were super hot from three. Honestly, this was just a game LA was supposed to win. Celtics are the only team that really scare me.

The Cavs weren't super hot from three, they just made shots they're expected to. The Lakers are known for weakness defending the perimeter.

The day Lamar Odom is supposed to put up 28/17, including a 15/10 quarter which would be a 60/40 game, is the day I get a blowjob from Lela Star.

The Spurs four titles were flukes as were all the Laker titles. Cleveland clearly suffered from bad luck in their 2 losses to LA this year. The Dallas Mavericks are the model franchise of the NBA and they'll win the title easily this year

This wasn't a fluke loss. This is the Lakers way of telling everyone its their year to win a championship. Spurs will give them a battle, but I see the Lakers winning it.

Absolutely right it was a fluke since we should have won by more. Granted this wasnt even a close either way. Lets say Odom scores 10 less points and Fisher 5 to make things "normal". Easily made up in defense/offense brought by bynum to aquire a win.

Of course really this is what happens when you test the Cavs offense and defense. Put decent defense on Lebron and he falls apart in a pathetic way as has been proven in the past (he's no Kobe). Put a little depth to test their defense and someone goes off for 30 points. They couldnt be bothered to defend Odom with Kobe and Pau so Odom going off for 30 perfectly normal, same things happened in the past. If theyd bothered to defend Odom then it just woulda been someone else going off and the Cavs still lose. GG cavs but you're not even as good as the Magic really.

Lebron James career stats, courtesy NBA.com (http://www.nba.com/playerfile/lebron_james/career_stats.html):

Playoffs: 27.5 PPG 8.0 RPG 7.3 APG 1.6 SPG 0.8 BPG 4.02 TO/G in 40.8 MPG
Regular Season: 27.5 PPG 7.0 RPG 6.8 APG 1.8 SPG 0.8 BPG 3.29 TO/G in 44.5 MPG.

No change in scoring. 1 more rebound per game, half an assist more per game (wiped out by .6 more TO/game), 0.2 fewer steals per game, no change in blocks per game and he plays 10% more time in the playoffs than in the regular season. Yeah, that's really stepping it up.

And the "fluke" crap was old last week.

Oops, don't forget this:

Playoffs: 43.3% FG 28.8% 3FG
Regular season: 46.9% FG 32.1% 3FG

and last playoff season was LeBron's worst (41.1% / 25.7%).

17 pt win in LA, 10 pt win in CLE.

I guess when you win in previously unbeaten Cleveland by 10 that's like winning by 20 in any other gym.

Lakers the best in the biz. Spurs r playing really well right now.

On the other hand Boston needs to make a move. They got powned this at last week by Western contenders
