Hill stats are pretty darn similar to Ginobili's rookie year. Awesome find :tu

Nice stats :clap

I think Hill benefited the most from last game's "Sit everyone" strategy.

I think he needs to spend some time with the shooting coach that helped Tony, Chuck England? Can't remember the name :depressed

What I like most about Hill's game is his defense and the way he takes it to the basket - with force. His offensive game is very raw though. It was nice to see possible "glimpses of the future" yesterday during his clutch run vs. Boston.

Yeah, the cutch jays along with the great layup in KG's face was great, especially from a rookie going up against the defending champs, who got their trophy with D.

I thought this thread was going to be about who he plays like in which case I was going to throw out the name Lindsey Hunter or maybe Earl Watson... George is kind of unique for a PG.

If the Spurs had a bad team, George Hill would get tons of minutes and have really good stats. He is a real good fit here.

Well, if you bring the comparison with Manu...
I was watching him closely yesterday and of course he played well but don't you think he underuses his left hand? His handling with his left hand looks good though.

that one-handed pass he threw that got stolen probably made Pop think so, too. he probably had flashbacks.

playin of the bench, his stats are better than benos in his rookie season

One could draw from that that maybe Hill is playing better, but isn't showing it because he is playing less minutes.

That being said, he needs more minutes IMO. Hes underutilized, but some of that is his fault too, he for some reason is unagressive and I don't know why.

So did Tony, and most of the young players at the beginning of their career who are relying on their good hand. It's a question of trust.

George just has to work on his left hand and learn to use it.

I hate when Hill and Manu are on the court together because it seems like all of the plays go to Manu. I'd like to see George used more in pick and roll situations, but when they are on the court together George passes to Manu and runs to the corner, then Manu runs the pick and roll.

They could use George a little bit more on the offensive end, especially driving to the basket.

I'm really excited about Hill. He is a major upgrade over Vaughn. That should be a benefit come playoff time.

I didn't realize it until now, but KG never tried to show our rookie point guard how tough he is. I guess he realized the long arms made George's reach greater than first glance might indicate.

The presence of Bonner intimated Garnett.
