let get him. we can give up a few defenders to larry brown, he loves em. hes a great all around player, incredible team defender, good single conerage, can make his own shot, is the tough small forward we need in our small lineup, a great shot blocker, what else? oh yeah theres no love lost between him and the lakers. any thoughts?

The contract situation for Gerald Wallace is horrible.

I'm no salary wiz, so you really should see how any trades would match up. And remember, Fin has to stay because he has a say whether he's involved in a trade or not, the Big 4, Mason, and Hill are easily untouchable. And since they wouldn't be trading for a big, KT, Bonner, Tiago, and Ian are out too. Plus JV will stay for insurance reasons.

So you're stuck with Hairston, Ime, and Fab. Even Hairston is iffy, because Pop has yet to really get a glimpse at his potential up close.

Not to shoot your idea down, the Spurs just have nothing to offer for a high level player such as Gerald. Maybe if Pop orchestrated a Pau type magic trick, it could happen. If he got GW for Ime and cash, I would shit myself.

He's hurt right now and can't even fly in planes! So who knows how much longer he'd be out.

naw fin doesnt hafta. his trade restriction just allows him to veto any trade, which sucks. but im not one of those people who think hes done. those people may still be on his nuts come playoff time, lol. well see. but, honestly, if we had the money to spend, id rather the spurs got a big.

I liked him a couple of years ago when his contract wasn't bloated. He averaged some 2.5 steals and 2.5 blocks in a season, which was some sort of a record if I remember correctly. He's got major flaws though - his jump shot is bad and he's very injury prone on top of being overpaid, don't see how he'd fit in our system. I can't see him playing off the big 3, he needs touches to be effective.

I could see Bobcats wanting to get rid of his contract though, so he might be available for expirings and picks.

Just think. Spurs have NO trash contract to be dump. We don`t have 8mln Kwame, which can be exchanged for Pau Gasol. We have 5 mln contracts that could be dump in a heartbeat. It is Oberto + Vaughn + Udoka. We can`t have any thing interesting for that.

Big 3 is untouchable. Don`t dare to trade Hill and Mason. Finley got this clause. Thomas and Bowen are nice vet role players.

Stop with this idiotic threads.

No thanks.

Charlotte can keep one of the dumbest NBA players around.

Call me crazy, but I'm still hopin for Rasheed. He wants to be here, has the passion, plays tough. If he can keep his techs under wraps, he'd be a good Spur.

He's athletic and a high flyer, but tremendously injury prone. I agree that he's overpaid.

Yes, think before you write.

If he's all that, and with his big contract, what are we going to give up to get him??? Personally, I like Wallace - he's fearless and does a bit of everything - but we have no assets with which to acquire him.

Add this to the list of pointless trade threads. :rolleyes

I think G-Wall fits a running team; most of his points comes from steals, fast breaks etc.
i don't know if he is a type of player that would help the spurs heaps..

Can we put a stop to these pointless threads? Let's just create one big "Stupid Trade proposals" thread and that way, all the nimrods can post as many dream scenarios they want.

These proposed trades by these wannabe GM's are ridiculous.
