if the law says it is illegal, why do pro leagues allow the players union to conduct business without banning these illegal substances?
the MLB never had steriods banned for the longest time....yet it was illegal to use them in the way the athletes were doing so.
At least the NFL came to its senses a few decades ago and banned the stuff.
In the NBA, for the longest time, there was nothing in the league bylaws about marijuana. the players union would not ban it, even though it was illegal. in fact, i am not sure if the players union ever made it illegal to partake in the use of it......
I just find it odd that the leagues and their players unions have not banned these substances and tested for them all along, since the government says using them is against the law.....
I mean, you cant call out referees, have a uniform malfunction, or show a bit of emotion without getting fined or even suspended..........but by all means dope yourself up and it is all good.
