a player isn't permited to join the HOF until 5yrs has passed since his retirement, so Jordan is nominated to HOF as soon as he can be.

Jordan is not a candidate at all, he has already had a VIP ticket for HOF since 1995. Ronbinson and stockton are also very likely to take seat in the HOF, congrats them.
