Actually it's changed quite a bit just since the All-Star break.

What's classic is in Denver, they played "Are You Ready For This?" right before tip for the All-Star game.

I felt right at home.

Did they change the music guy or did the players request modern music?

I've heard a lot of stuff that was introduced to the radio within the year.

Before it was all 70's rock crap.

"Pour some sugar on me." ETC.

Also, a lot more "electronic" selections.

I still want to know what that song is that has become all the stadium rage lately. The one with no words, but everyone sings along with it. It's driving me nuts.

I'm talking about the music they play during the game.

Doesn't everyone use "Are you ready for this"?

But yeah i heard some different sounding music while they were playing, didn't recongnise it.

A lot more urban music.

Less rock.

Except I did hear We Will Rock you going into a commerical break. That ruled. Great sports song.

Did anyone notice that one song they played that had whistles blowing in it? As loud as it was in there tonight, I thought it was a ref's whistle for a minute there. I'm surprised they are allowed to play that song but hey...it was while the Spurs were on offense and they scored, so I guess the Spurs can't complain.

yea, I've always had a problem with this too. Seems like everyone else in the league had up to date music and we had a bunch of old school shit. Does seem like it has gotten better though.

Gotta love when the Spurs have the ball and they play the background to In Da club.

Love that shit.

Now they need to use the background to Candy Shop when the Spurs are on O.

Cant wait to get home and listen to the new tunes, supposedly its really changed since the all star break.

I would assume the intro video is very changed since it had Rose on it.

"Up to date" stadium music is no better than it ever was, it just isn't as nauseating because it hasn't been played over and over for thirty years. I've never heard stadium music, new or old, that didn't suck ass.

Is the song with the whistles in it, "Move Bitch" by Ludacris.

I hear that while watching other NBA games on TV, but not Spurs ones. Perfect track for a basketball game.

Please tell me that they no longer play "Cotton Eyed Joe" at some point during the game.

Back in the day I could close my eyes when they'd play that song and I'd know I was watching a game in San Antonio. . .

or Sacramento. :lol

Just as long as when we win the NBA Championship again (if the series-clinching game is in SA) they don't play that God damned tired old chorus from Queen's "We Are The Champions" in an endless loop, over and over and over and over and over and over.....for LITERALLY almost 10 minutes, after the final buzzer, like in 2003. That COMPLETELY ruinied an othewise special moment, IMO.

:lol Yeah, that was pretty messed up. It kind of cracks me up whenever I hear that song at a sporting event. Those lyrics couldn't possibly have been written with an kind of seriousness intended.

If they play that "simply the best" crap during Elliot's retirement that they played during the championship banner moment AND Robinson's retirement i will shoot myself.

I've often wondered about this before...

Do you think Queen wrote that song WITH the intention of it becoming the most over-played victory song in sports? You think that they intended for it to become a staple in every championship game, or do you think they just kind of stumbled upon it by luck?

Talk about giving a song longevity. That tune will NEVER die. I just doubt Queen was smart enough to plan it out like that.

I was just about to tell you to load the chamber.

Ya'll ready for this has been around since I can remember and has got to go.

But I agree, the intergame music is much better (and played more often).
