Lakers look to have run off with the number one seed, while seeds 2-8 are like playing musical chairs, one loss, u might drop from 4th to 7th. It's going to be an interesting second half, but even a minor trade could shake things up. Who do you think will miss the playoffs?

Rockets I think will definitely miss the playoffs, in return they'll get a lottery pick for kings who have already gotten rockets' 1st rounder of this season through artest's trade.

Doesn't look so good for Phoenix. And if they trade Amare not sure the season is long enough for the all important 'gel' thing to happen with new players

Suns will get it together. Mavs will not.

Based on?

lol... Phoenix is in flux right now, no chemistry whatsoever.

Dallas on the other hand doesn't have such chemistry issues, the coach isn't on the hot seat, and quite frankly we've been a better team thus far.

Oh, and if a team hasn't gotten it together after 51 games, THEY SIMPLY ARENT GONNA GET IT TOGETHER>

OP, you should have posted Phoenix's position in the standings. I say Suns as well. If not them, then the Mavs, but I have faith in Dirk & crew to pull off enough wins to get swept in the first round by LA.

Phoenix will miss the playoffs. The West will end up as follows.

1. Lakers
2. Spurs
3. Nuggets
4. New Orleans
5. Utah
6. Mavs
7. Portland
8. Houston

If it happens, the Mavs could beat the Nuggets in the first round. :wow

:lol @ the Mavs beating the Nuggets in the 1st round. I will be hoping that the Mavs are the team the Nuggets face, then Melo will finally get past the 1st round.

The Nuggets already swept the season series 3-0

The 1st rd pick we sent them is top 15 protected you fool. We can make the playoffs with just Yao and Artest so I'm not worried anyways. Boy you are the worst fair weather fan I've ever seen. First you loved the Rockets and Clutchfans you then said stupid shit and got banned. Then you becames a Spurs fan as soon as you came here, then jumped ship to the Mavs. What a jackass.

Jazz out...

Not a chance. We have a very easy schedule after the all-star break and Boozer & Kirilenko will be back within 7-10 days. I expect us to go on a nice little streak. We're only 3 games out of the 4 spot. I don't think we can catch Denver for the division title but I think we can get to the 4 seed and get home court in the first round.

Based on the mavs suck dick.

There is too much talent on the Suns for them to miss the playoffs.

You guys dont have much players to fall back on i'm afraid.

There are a million examples of regular season results carrying over to the postseason...and a million examples of it not happening. I'd favor Denver on paper, but it's not set in stone.

Then again, you're a Nuggets fan, so you're not used to how the playoffs work.

Phoenix has more talent, but they're not meshing. Dallas is better coached and has enough talent to make the playoffs. I'd have to look at remaining strength of schedule to hazard a guess, but I wouldn't expect a core of Shaq, Nash and Grant Hill to hold up fresh over the course of an 82 game season.

Ouch! True. But in the Nuggets defense they have typically had to fight upward in the playoffs as a 7 or 8 in the first round. Going against 1 or 2 is a tough pill round one. They look solid for reg. season, they have an NBA champion on the team now, they cut the fat and now they could potentially seal up the two or three spot in the West. Sitting as pretty as you could consider the Nuggs to be.
