Last night Dallas Mavs played a rivalry game against boston celtics, which is considered as the most powerful team in the league. I think the result isn't quite important, anyway our team would not boast even if we had defeated them. In this league which is called NBA, no team is unbeatable including celtics and mavs. I don't think beating celtics is something that deserves to be boasted of, and it is also all right the other way round. Losing a regular season game to celtics doesn't mean anything, we don't need to feel frustrated for that lose, at least we didn't lose to grizzlies or wizards.

Dampier scored the first 2pts for us with 2 free throws, but paul pierce tied the game with a jumper short after that. celtics didn't score during the next several minutes to let us build a 7pt leading gap with a 7-0 run, Dirk's drive dunk perfectly finished the 7-0 run and made the score 9-2 with 8:40 to go in the 1st quarter. Although celtics tried their best to eat up our leading gap, we still continue our perfect performances to finish the first quarter with 4pts leading, 21-17 mavs up by 4. 12pts for Dirk in this single quarter.

the boston celtics so-called big 3 surely didn't want to give up the game that early, Gay Allen and kg led their them's dogfight during the begining minutes of the 2nd quarter when PPierce was resting on the bench, but they still didn't turn around the trend even after pierce came back several minutes later. Instead, mavs kept their torturing on the celtics and boardened our leading gap to 11pts by the end of the 2nd quarter, 51-40 mavs up by 11. Dirk scored 20pts in the first half

celtics scored 29pts in the 3rd quarter, all of which were contributed by their 4 guys Allen/KG/PP/Rondo. we scored 24pts in this quarter but we still hold a 5pt leading gap before the 4th began. Pierce scored 18pts in the fourth quarter while our entire team just got 17pts in this quarter, thinakble we were blown out in this quarter and lost the game regretfully.

Dirk Nowitzki

39:20 37pts 13-28FG 9-12ft 2-4 3pt 8rebs 3fouls 3TO
Dirk played good last night, but still not enough to bring us a win. It was definitely a disappointing night for dirk who tried his best yet still lost the game with a gang of sucking teammates, Josh Howard in particular. Besides his 37pts which was game high, he also grabbed 8 rebounds that helped us a lot on the defensive end, while KG just got 5 boards in total. Dirk's aggresive attacks also draw a couple of fouls on KG and Pierce, both of whom got 5 personal fouls respectively. Dirk stood on the free throw line 12 times last night, though he missed 3 of them.

Jason Kidd
http://msn.foxsports.com/fe/img/NBA/Headshots/140x170/2625.jpg

41:38 3pts 6rebs 10asts 1-8FG 1-4 3pt 2 stls 4 fouls
Kidd got no score last night except a fluky 3pt shot that brought 3pts to his book. but Kidd's contributions should be deprived by his lack of scores, kidd hasn't ever enjoyed scoring as we all know. even so, Kidd still made 8 attempts last night, but only hit 1 of them. kidd's 41:38 was also team high, his other two team-highs were his 10asts and his age.

Josh Howard
http://msn.foxsports.com/fe/img/NBA/Headshots/140x170/3732.jpg

32:49 17pts 3rebs 6-19FG 1-2 3pt 4-4ft 2asts 1turnover 2blocks

Josh made Pierce look like a real superstar last night, he sucked through all the minutes until he was fouled out. Howard should have stopped shooting when he didn't feel good, but he insisted to prove it to pierce that a basketball player shouldn't be too fatty, but piecer used his performances to teach Josh a lesson: Junk food is not as harmful for athletes as roor.
Erick Dampier
http://msn.foxsports.com/fe/img/NBA/Headshots/140x170/3117.jpg

38:41 4pts 1-3FG 2-2ft 7rebs 3fouls 2 blocks
Dampier played a good game last night, at least his game time was pretty long compared to his season's average. we had to play him that long because celtics kept their 3 beasts playing in the paint in rotation. Dampier was the only guy that could restrict them a little bit, so that we had to keep playing him in the paint to deal with Perkins/Powe and G Davis.

Antonie Wright
http://msn.foxsports.com/fe/img/NBA/Headshots/140x170/3941.jpg

30:39 10pts 3 reb 4-10FG 2-3 3pt 5fouls 1stl
wright had excessive offensive appetite in the first quarter and made some force shots that even LBJ can't hit. his performances on offense were really pretty bad except his 2-3 3pt shooting, but he did a good job at defensive end. Ray Allen scored 20pts last night but his 5-12FG and 2-6 were really very bad for Ray allen who is famous for his shooting skills.

Jose Juan Barea
http://www.nba.com/media/act_jose_barea.jpg

11:06 7pts 1asts 3-5FG 1reb
barea should have taken more time in order to give more resting minutes to Kidd who is 35 years old, obviously he wasn't able to earn Kidd the time. he was pretty efficient last night, 7pts within 11mins. he shooted 5times yet only made one asts last night. as a PG barea should learn more about how to run the team than scoring himself which he has already done well, especially as kidd's backup.

Brandon Bass
http://msn.foxsports.com/fe/img/NBA/Headshots/140x170/3959.jpg

17:49 8pts 1rebs 2-4FG 4-4FT
Bass scored 8pts yet only grabbed 1 rebound, but we were still potent with his performances last night, at least his salary doesn't take too much space of our team's salary room.

Matt Caroll
http://msn.foxsports.com/fe/img/NBA/Headshots/140x170/3785.jpg

17:49 2-3FG 2-2FT 2rebs 1ast 6pts
carroll has got more time since terry injuried his finger and left our rotation temporarily, but he is far from enough to play terry's role. what he is doing is just making some easy shots with our franchise players on court, because he can't create oppotunities himself when he has to play with other bench players.

Devean George
http://msn.foxsports.com/fe/img/NBA/Headshots/140x170/3346.jpg

10:06 2stls 2 fouls
geroge should have taken more resposibilities in defending pierce who is also fatty, but coach carlisle and his teammates didn't expect him to do so. maybe he is still living in the dream of his "lakers Dynasty", or even expecting lakers to sign him back one day. now what we can remember about him is just his ugly smile and his "bird rights".

offense: we did a pretty good job offensively in the first quarter. scoring 21pts/quarter under celtics' defensive pressure is pretty satisfying, not to mention our 30pts in the 2nd quarter. but we struggled on offensive end in the fourth quarter when our rosters had already got tired. Our offense relies too hard on mid-range and long-rangeshooting, we have to rely on shooting because our center is too crappy to score. duncan always scores in the paint consistently when his team needs points, at least duncan can draw some fouls and keep scoring on the line. we don't even have a guy that can grab offensive rebounds when we miss the jumpers. Lakers also faced the same problem last season but Gasol solved everything, I hope DN will get smart for a second and make a trade that also brings us a good center.

Defense: celtics scored 17pts in the 1st quarter but they got 59pts in the second half, our pressure on celtics decreased even faster than the game time. ppierce scored 18pts in the 4th quarter while we just got 17pts as a team. carlisle should have assigned bass to take care of pierce whose paces are not faster than bass or anyone on our team. Pierce kept eating Josh's skeleton until he left the court with 6 personal fouls, ignoring his body weight that is already too big for a SF. Maybe Pierce will be forced to play PF or C some day. it is already very common that we confuse him with perkins, isn't it?

:toast, good recap as always rogue.

Im not as pissed as I thought I would be when the Mavs were up 15 and the Celtics scored 8 straight and I thought "not this shit again"... its just the way everything went down for our beloved Mavs. Blown layups and transition opportunities, in and out shots, Pierce shooting some fluke FT's, Boston getting away with fluke moving screens.

the best D in league. hard to score vs, especially when they clamp down in 4th Q... and our offensive liabilities at 1,2,5 and lack of JET, with J-Ho fouled out.. how can I get mad at our BOYS for giving it their all but not having the ammunition? I just hope the front office addresses the issue.

But what do we even address? We need a shooting guard, we need a scoring center, we need better offense, we need better defense, it wouldn't hurt to shoot better from behind the arc, it wouldn't hurt to shoot a few more free throws, it wouldn't hurt to have 1 more solid bench player.

I'll be pretty upset if nothing happens. BUt then again, I prbably shouldn't be. After all, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 9th in West.. it's all a formality, you can't overcome a player like Kobe acquiring a player like Gasol for NOTHING... and having shooters passers and slashers all across the roster.

Also, it's the King's time anyway.

Well good game from our beloved Mavs last night, wish it ended better.

Damn, I assumed Dallas had that one, it was nice for a while there seeing western teams taking turns banging the celtics.

Carlisle is an idiot for allowing so many Pierce iso's and Devean George should have been waived immediately after the game

I really hate the Celtics now, KG's fake thug bullshit faggot ass is beyond tolerance.

Last year I cheered for the C's, now I wish the Lakers won. If they met again, it seems principled to cheer for the Lakers, Gasol > Garnett

On the Western Conference presence of the 41-9 Lakers:

CUBAN: “The Lakers don’t intimidate us at all. In the West it's going to come down to whoever stays the healthiest and gets hot at the right time. … We’ve got a shot.’’

CUBAN: “The Lakers don’t intimidate us at all. In the West it's going to come down to whoever stays the healthiest and gets hot at the right time. … We’ve got a shot.

cuban was not totally wrong... Lakers were also floating around 6th-7th in the west before they robbed grizzlies. our team will also be upgraded significantly after making a trade that brings us a decent center.

no shooter can keep his hands hot through the whole game, spurs' shooters also lose their warmth sometimes but Duncan can continue their scoring by attacking the rim. our starting center is just a crap who can't even make some lay-ups. we shouldn't trade our talents for a team cancer like amare or another crap like yao, but there are still some decent centers out there for us to choose from. I think DN should focus his radar on Kaman and chandler who are already on sale and very likely to be traded before the deadline.

thanks a lot for supporting our beloved mavs and me, the championship is gonna belong to us this season.:lobt:

Man you're a genius. Might i add Rogue's Game thoughts >>> timvp's Game thoughts.

BTW KG & Perkins had more moving screens than the Detroit Pistons Bad Boys.

Dirk didn't get enough rest in the second half and it resulted in eight of his last ten shots missed.

Rajon Rondo has been putting up Jason Kidd like numbers of late and will be a true NBA superstar if he develops an outside shot.

Paul Pierce was the man in the lategoing.

The Celtics can win without Kevin Garnett.

Unfortuantely with JET out the Mavs really cant afford to rest Dirk bc with him on the bench, the mavs offense just tanks
