Durant scored 47 tonight in the rookie challenge and became the only player in rookie challenge to score that many points. Also he won MVP of the game.

I didnt watch all of it because the game was boring to me but Durant played good

if the Mavs want to make a play for anybody, it better be for Durant. He's got Texas connections, plays 3 hours away in the shittest city in America, and will be a freakin superstar for the next 10-15 years.

Shame for the JailBlazers picking Oden over Durant

Durant is impressive though. I think he gets it: he knows what holes are in his game and is determined to overcome and eliminate them. His shot selection has improved, he's learning the league, he knows when to be a facillitator, and he is beginning to exert himself on defense. I don't think it's any surprise at all that The Team That Shall Not Be Named has gone from flirting with losing 70 games to being much more competitive and will probably finish with just under 25 wins. It's not all because of him that they're starting to play better, but he's the biggest part of it.

No kidding. I hear a lot of talk about Bosh or Wade. Neither of those guys are coming here. I actually think it would be hard to pry Durant; he's tight with Green and Westbrook, and they all have genuine chemistry with each other. But by all means they should try to sign him.

I heard the rookies played really tough defense on him too.

It's so amazing, so impressive, unbelievable.

Rashard Lewis would have only gotten into the high 30's.

LeBron only had 33 in that game. Kevin Durant is better than LeBron James.

I'm not going to start sucking Durant off for an exhibition performance, but to be fair, there was WAY more defensive pressure than in past contests, if still not much. Anyways, it was an enjoyable game/performance.

Rookies did play defense on him.

He was simply on fire.

Once they were down 11 pts, Durant made 3 three pts in one minute.

In the last 2 or 3 mins, he get 8 pts including a few impressive dunk.

He has 7 rebounds and 4 assists. He should have at lest 6-8 assists, if his teamate did not miss easy dunk, wide open jump shoot and open layup.

all of you need to stop that bullshit. It was 47 points. He couldn't be stopped, the rookie team as helluva lot more talented too.

Don't complain about the defense because you don't hear people putting Kobe's 61 down b.c it was the knicks or w.e

Probably one of the better Rookie challenges I have seen, I honestly thought the Rook's had a good chance of winning.

On a side note, wtf was Wade wearing? He looked like fucking Steve Urkel.

Bullshit.

They left George Hill off for an injured, second-year Greg Oden?

And the League wonders why it has image problems.

What you mean a play? As in teh future or now?

They probably wouldn't even give up Durant for Dirk, let alone anything beneath Dirk.

Hill wouldn't have made it anyway. Kevin Love was next in line.

It is funny how people dismiss what KD did so easily. Out of all the years that this has gone on, no one has scored more. He faced the same type of defense that everyone else ever has (if not a little harder).

I'm talking about after his rookie contract is up.

durant needs to go to the spurs once his contract is up. this kid can ball. if he were on the blazers, they would be up there battling the spurs and nuggets for the number 2 spot. durant, roy, and aldridge together on the same team? that core would dominate for ten years.

If Stern makes the picks, it would Sun Yue and Yi.
