I'm trying to get "maxed out" in dead space... i thought you had to max out all weapons and equipment in 1 play through... apparently your progession is saved once you beat the game and you start the next game with the cash/nodes/upgrades you beat it with.

ive been walking around with no health... almost no ammo... and no oxygen tanks for 3 chapters because i was selling everything for money to buy nodes. bleh. live and learn.

Yup, easiest way to get that is to throw a molotov from afar and run. You'll have to do it with friends because the bots will automatically takes shots at it.

Nah I play co-ops on expert. I'd recommend expert on co-op because expert mode encourages people to just run the fuck away as soon as its lit whereas on easy mode they will try to stand up to it.

the last few times ive played l4d ive gotten really cool teammates. you just state what achievements youre going for at the start of the round and they'd try to help you get it. how far will a full molotov bring down the tank? everytime i see one i just unload as fast as i can into its face with my auto shotgun and hope i can take it down with my pistols when im on the ground getting pummeled.

When the Tank is on fire, I believe it takes about 30 seconds for it to die. The tank is stupid, it will run straight through the fire so just throw it as far as you can in its path and the tank will light itself on fire.

So ya just tell those teammates, if you play with them again, to not shoot it and youll get the achievement.

As long as you following the instructions it's easy. First time (without the tool to open my case) took me almost 2 hours. The second time, probably 15 minutes.

My latest achievement mission- Got sick of multiplayer so I've been trying to beat CoD 4 on veteran. Done it all on hardcore. Done every level on Veteran except Heat (barely tried, not optimistic), The Hunted (Stuck but extremely confident), Safehouse (Miserably hopeless) and Mile High Club (haven't tried in months but I'll do it).

Honestly, minus those few levels it was easier than I had anticipated it being. Not that it's been easy, but when I first got the game I tinkered with Veteran and concluded I'd never be able to do it. Really, if you go slow, use your resources, pick your cover and time your open runs well, it's generally not too difficult. And it's a totally different game. A lot more fun than the run and gun of easier difficult levels IMO. Hell of a lot more realistic feeling anyway.

Considering only 3% of the people who own the game have even beaten Mile High on Vet. I'd bet there's less than 1% who've beaten the entire game (you have right jman?).
Anyway, I'm looking forward to joining that >1%

When I first started playing COD4 I jumped right into Veteran from the start. As a matter of fact, I never played COD2 or 4 on anything other than Vet (well... I did go back on Charlie Don't Surf to get "Your show sucks" on Recruit.

It actually feels weird to play and not get killed in 2 or 3 shots or headshot by some ass hat 200 yards away with a pistol from a small doorway.

-The rest of the campaign maps are now available in versus mode

- New game mode called Survival Mode. You get with 3 other dudes and you try to fight off hordes after hordes of zombies and special infected as long as you can. It's timed so you get medals for passing a checkpoint and if your time is long enough, your name gets on the public stats. Its not easy man, highest time I got was about 8 minutes.

There's tour of duty (complete all t-hunt maps), vet hunter (complete all t-hunt maps splitscreen) elite hunter (complete all t-hunt maps on realistic mode)

I just beat the last of the 10 maps on splitscreen and I only got tour of duty... which is weird because I've only been playing splitscreen and on realistic. I should have gotten the other 2 at the same time. It's about 150 points worth altogether.

I'm thinking I might have done 1 on normal on accident... but that still doesn't explain why i didnt get veteran hunter... bleh.

I don't think I'll ever get the "win 10 straight Xbox Live ranked matches" achievement. I won 9 straight the second week I had the game, and I haven't gotten close since. I might have to cheap people with Zangief or something.

I got to 9 and my 10th match was against zangief, my first time playing him online, the guy had it set to 1 round and i didnt even have a chance to get revenge.

meh, I only recently started going for achievements; within the past few months. I played through the campaign on normal and hardened and then put 250+ hours into multiplayer. So yeah, maybe I'm late to the veteran/campaign party, but I guess that the multiplayer was that good, that doing the campaign again was more than an afterthought.

So on the save file I've been chasing bobbleheads with for a couple of days- I've been perma-banned from Vault 101. There's a fucking bobblehead inside.

Fallout's really putting me through my paces. Given that it's not near as expansive as Oblivion was, it's really amazing how much all the technical BS is weighing me down by comparison. I'd much rather it just had mission related achievements in the mould of Oblivion.

save the game before levels 8, 14, and 20. Wait until youre only a a couple hundred xp from leveling and do a bunch of bad shit then level. Get neutral achievement. Rinse and repeat but do more bad shit until youre evil... get evil achievement.

as for the vault thing... damn dude.. it's really obvious at the start of the game that you can grab it. i cant see how you could miss it.

It is possible to freeze your current amount of scrap metal through Protector Casdin (confirmed on 360 & PS3). This method can be done directly after leaving Vault 101. Moderate sneak skill is required, around 30-40, which can of course be supplemented by Stealth Boys.

* 1: First, an even number of scrap metal is needed. The RobCo Facility and the Meresti Station are two places with a lot of scrap metal.
* 2: (Skip if friendly with Outcasts) Collect various items for Casdin, enough to achieve allied status with the Outcasts. The best place for this is the UFO crash site to the north, not only since the loot yield far more points than required to become friendly with the Outcasts, but also because one can simply stop by Meresti Station on the way and loot the scrap metal there.
* 3: (Skip if friendly with Outcasts) Speak with Defender Morgan to start The Outcast Collection Agent quest.
* 4: (Skip if friendly with Outcasts) Give Casdin enough items to become friendly with the Outcasts, around 50 points worth of items.
* 5: Give Casdin all scrap metal in your inventory. This batch is the X Value. Note! This value MUST be an even number (10, 12, 14 etc).
* 6: Steal back the X Value scrap metal you gave Casdin.
* 7: Give back all scrap metal EXCEPT 2 for the best possible profit. This batch is the Y Value.
* 8: Steal back the Y Value scrap metal from Casdin.
* 9: Now, attempt to steal one of Casdins basic items, such as his Laser Rifle (or if you've given them to him, the Alien Power Cells). You should get caught (if not, try again). Casdin will then proceed to take back his scrap metal, but will steal back both the X Value and the Y Value. For example, if you gave him an 16 scrap metal, stole them back and then gave him 14 scrap metal, it will say that he removes 14 scrap metal and then 16 scrap metal.

I did it maybe a month or so ago. What's really shitty is the first time I attempted it in months, I got to the hostage on my straight up 1st try... and promptly shot him in the head. Took me another hour and a half to get to him again, but I did it.

All I have left for 1000/1000 on CoD is Safehouse on veteran and finding 30 intelligence briefcases. IDK what it is about Safehouse, it's not usually cited as the hardest Veteran level, but it's been wiping the floor with me all summer.

I did it maybe a month or so ago. What's really shitty is the first time I attempted it in months, I got to the hostage on my straight up 1st try... and promptly shot him in the head. Took me another hour and a half to get to him again, but I did it.

its definitely one of the more satisfying achievements you'll get based on straight difficulty. I was doing it for 90 minutes before i realized there were flashbangs. As for the strategy youtube is loaded with video suggestions

I thought beating heat on veteran was more difficult than MHC.

It's way too open and since enemies can head shot you from 10 miles away it makes running across the fields a mother fucker.
