Reports of Griffey leaning towards a one year deal with the braves. Even with his low HR total last year he still would have accounted for 2/3s of the Braves outfiled total HR's.

Personally I'd rather see them bring Andruw back and work him out til he found his swing again. I was watching teh game 4 of the WS last night on espn classic and damn that kid could swing a bat.

All that fucking eating. It was so painful watching him here.

ATL is better off with Griffey.

Andruw signed with Texas. I think Griffey will help ATL not just by his play, but by helping Francouer, Schafer, Heyward, etc.

I lived in Atlanta for several years, and Andruw was awesome. His freefall is one of the weirdest things I've ever seen in sports. He always had trouble with chasing the outside breaking ball, but all of a sudden he couldn't hit anything at all.

Yes, he put on weight, but it's not like there haven't been fat guys in the majors before. My gosh, Tony Gwynn won NL batting titles while impersonating a pregnant woman.

Yeah hopefully he can pass on some knowledge to the younger guys. Frenchie def had an off year last year and needs to reboudn bad.

I've never lived in ATL but def loved the braves being on TBS all the time, til the Ted sold them. But yeah he def fell of fast. Then it seemed like the worse he got the more he tried to make up for it. I remember when it was awesome when it was a clutch situation, or evenjust runners on in the middle of the game, and Andruw came up, it was almost a sure hit. At the end I prayed he wouldn't come up to bat.

We also need to convince Mazzone to come back!!!!

I'll make the 2 1/2 hour drive from my house to see him play a couple of games in Seattle. I'm not an M's fan, but would be nice to go to a game or 2
