Of course seattle is talking about it. Their football and baseball teams stink. Unfortunately, the Hornets have a clause in their deal that keeps them in New Orleans till 2016 if attendance averages over 14,000 and they're clearly getting that.

Sonics. Hornets just sounds stupid. The New Orleans Hornets shouldn't even be the damn Hornets. They should have enginered a 3 team trade where Utah becomes the Utah Grizzles, Memphis becomes the Memphis Express and New Orleans becomes the New Orleans Jazz. It makes too much fucking sense to actually happen though.

What incentives do the Hornets have to move?

1. Attendance is 16,500k+ with 98% capacity
2. There's a waiting list for suites
3. Most sponsors in franchise history
4. Fairly new arena, 10x better than Key
5. High TV ratings

Now compare this to Seattle
1. City that was just burned by the NBA=low attendance
2. Struggling corporate landscape
3. Shithole of an arena
4. Liberal extremist government, which will not build a new arena.

The Hornets are grossing their highest profits in franchise history, why the hell would they fuck that up? Shinn isn't losing money, he would have taken a huge hit if he'd have to pay the luxury tax though. This is why Chandler was traded.

Anymore questions, bitches?

Too bad the levees are being repaird to ''hundred year storm status'', not to mention the $300 million coming our way for coastal restoration. You probably should bow out of this thread to avoid any more of this e-beatdown. :king

son you know it's very rude to spew dirty words against others, just swallow them and enjoy them yourself next time you have them in your mouth. Create some valuable things, son, please stop making dirts and let them contaminate your childish mind and your fresh mouth.

I have to agree hornets team is a good team at present, but they have to give up their talent just for financial relief. It's a tragedy not only for the hornets team but also for the whole league, or even our whole nation. Hornets deserve a bigger market where they can at least earn enough money to fulfill the basic needs of the team. We have nothing against NO son, we just think NO needs to start with a amature team that plays in a smaller league, instead of a NBA team that plays in the major league.

Shinn didn't pay the luxury tax in Charlotte and he wouldn't anywhere. His main income is the Hornets, he couldn't afford the luxury tax where ever he would be. however, a local minority owner from New Orleans is a lot richer than Shinn and owning a team would be like a hobby for him. We're hoping he gets control because his % of ownership grows every year.
