Two Girl Scouts and their troop leader were robbed as they sold cookies outside a San Antonio store, reports say.
The 9-year-old girls were packing up after hours of selling cookies outside a Walgreens in the city's North Side on Wednesday night when a man approached and stole their money, about $250, WOAI.com reports. No injuries were reported.
"Both little girls are scared," the troop leader, who did not want to be identified, told WOAI.com. "And they've learned, firsthand, there are bad people out there."
The suspect was inside the store prior to the theft and police are now reviewing surveillance video, WOAI.com reports.
"I try to teach the girls that nothing's given, you have to earn it," the troop leader told WOAI.com. "And they earned that money."

It's a sign that a stupid ass adult left two 9 year old girls alone with $250.

I don't know, most people I know who have stolen (I work with a lot of addicts in my professional life) still have some ethics about who they'll steal from. Stealing from 2 9 year olds seems particularly low to me, and I think it's a sign of how desperate people are becoming. There's a lot more of these types of stories floating around the country these days.

Are you people forgetting that an adult left two 9 year old girls by themselves with $250??
Are you kidding me?
I mean, yea, the guy was a motherfucker for stealing from little girls, but that shit wouldn't have happened if those girls weren't left by themselves.
Where's the outrage in that?

Sign of the times my ass!
This kind of shit will always happen when adults leave kids alone with that much cash.

I sure could use 250 bucks. I wonder where their next booth will be located.

Sign of the times that kids would sit outside a store with $300 in cash next to an easy getaway.
I am surprised though, I figured Obama would end crime.

Damn, just damn. Not one person could grab this fool? This is absurd.
You don't leave kids with this much money, but that still isn't a warrant for robbery.

No, actually she's pointing out that once upon a time you could leave two girl scouts with $250 and know that some fuckwit wasn't going to steal it from them (let's say, the 1950s, although back then it would've been about $40). So yes, it is a sign of the times. I'm not denying that it's a silly thing to do in this day and age, but the world wasn't always so harsh.
