Suns let up in the 3rd quarter, but have build up a nice lead in the 4th. 122-105, 4:25 left.

This Thunder team scares the crap out of me. That Durant kid is something special.

It got scary close there for a minute. Thankfully they woke up. I'm glad J Rich can do something other than endanger the lives of Phoenix citizens.

Quick to jump on a conclusion

They'll average 175 ppg when Amare comes back

Wow nice, i think they are better with just shaq than with just amare, Shaq has a stronger defensive presence, welcome back to the contender table Phoenix.

And why not?

Their offense is clicking on all cylinders and when you have a strong defensive presence like Shaq you can get by.

Not without Amare, and not against teams like the Celtics, Cavs, and Lakers as opposed to Clippers/Thunder.

I really think they're gonna miss the playoffs, but who knows. Wouldn't surprise me if the Mavs end up doing just that even with Amare out.

Got a 1 game lead as of today.

Well, we play both the Celtics and Lakers this next week, so we'll see.

This is the fastest I've ever seen the Suns play. 140 in 3 straight games is just unreal, regardless of competition. I've never seen a team sustain that kind of offensive potency for 3 straight games before.

The Celtics game is important, but I can't wait to see how well our offense holds up against the Lakers next week.

Yes it's a high point total. But lets be real. If you doubled the Clips wins accounting for the 2 games and added the Thunders, you still dont add up to the Lakers total... Celts either. It's fun to watch but reality will set in soon and back to earth the suns will be crashing.

Served on Tuesday against the Clippers.

It really is a fluke stretch for the Suns, its just the timing of it means people think Alvin Gentry is the reason.

Yeah, they're playing a faster pace, but they're also playing the worst the league has to offer and shooting 60%. You could put Lebron, Kobe, Dwight, Paul, and Duncan on the same team and they probably wouldn't shoot 60% over the course of an 82 game season.

So yeah, fluke stretch. The hot shooting will cool off as will the suns.

This was a very stupid statement. Alvin Gentry is the reason we started scoring like this. If you can’t tell that there is a vast difference between our play style from the Porter and Post-Porter teams then your powers of observation are sad indeed.

I reiterate -Moron.

I don't understand how any fan of basketball wouldn't appreciate a team that puts 140 points on the board in 3 straight games.

I think it bears repeating that those 140 points came against the CLIPPERS and the THUNDER!!! And neither one of those teams aren't actually competitive. Man, Suns fans have a REALLY warped view on basketball. Maybe it time to come back down to earth.

IF putting up 140 against the Clippers/Thunder was so easy, why doesn't it happen regularly?

Blatant Suns bashing. Who cares who it's against?

I don't think anyone's come close to putting up that many points on the board against the Clippers or Thunder, let alone in regulation. You can repeat it all you want. Hasn't been done in 18 years.

Oh congrats then. let me get a trophy for ya. Oh wait a second, they don't hand out trophies for meaningless fluky stat records, do they?

I'm not a fan of fast-paced basketball, but it's nice to see the Suns enjoying themselves out there and playing the brand of basketball they're built for.

Btw, the idea that everything is meaningless if you don't win it all is proper of pre-historical and deficient minds.

what amare is to suns is just what tmac is to rockets.

rockets played a good game last night and beat the league's greatest team with fluke shots without T-MAC

It's a great performance, I didin't expect 140 average from the suns w/o amare even against clip and thunder.

After that let's see the game against celts and lakers.

This is the same team that got blown out against the Bobcats a month ago.
This is the same team that has struggled against sub .500 teams all season.

While these teams are not good and the Clippers are seriously depleted this is a big turnaround for the Suns to dominate the games they are supposed to win.

What does it mean in the big picture of the season and potential playoffs? Not much.
It is three wins for a team that needs every one that they can get at this point.

When the Suns were eliminated from playoff contention two years ago, I thought that the Suns played really well and kept the entire series close. They lost at the end by a razor thin margin that is statistically insignificant. If the Suns had one more possession or made a free throw here and there, they could have won. Can D'Antoni's system work to win it all? Of course it can. It's about statistics. Ball bounced the other way, then the Suns would have advanced.

Better than Porterball.

You can only blame Porter so much. The players clearly didn't buy into the system. It is just as much on their hands. So now, the Suns will rack up points, play minimal defense, and be happy. And the fans will all whine again if they actually make the playoffs and get bounced in the first round about how they dont play playoff basketball. Same ole same ole....
