For those that do the fantasy thing.
Pure Fantasy: Trade deadline winners, losers (http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/spurs/Pure_Fantasy_Trade_deadline_winners_losers.html)
David Kendrick - Express-News
Several players were moved before Thursday’s NBA trading deadline. Here’s the fantasy impact of some of those deals.
Miller to Bulls
- To Bulls: C Brad Miller, SG/SF John Salmons
- To Kings: PF Drew Gooden, SF Andres Nocioni, PF Michael Ruffin, PF/C Cedric Simmons
- To Blazers: PF Ike Diogu, cash
Winners
Miller, Bulls C: He has a hip injury, but when healthy he has fantasy-friendly skills.
Spencer Hawes, Kings C: With Miller gone, promising youngster should start.
Francisco Garcia, Kings SF: Should start and pile up threes.
Losers
Salmons, Kings SG/SF: Chicago already has perimeter guys.
Gooden, Kings PF: He’s hurt, Kings need to play young guys.
Joakim Noah, Bulls C: That’s Bulls (backup) C now.
Alston to Magic
- To Magic: PG Rafer Alston
- To Rockets: PF Brian Cook, PG Kyle Lowry
- To Grizzlies: draft pick, C Adonal Foyle, PG Mike Wilks
Winners
Aaron Brooks, Rockets PG: A 3-point shooter who should start, although Rockets GM Daryl Morey loves Lowry.
Alston, Magic PG: He shouldn’t have trouble seeing open looks or racking up assists.
Losers
Anthony Johnson, Magic PG: It’s never good when your team trades for a guy who plays your position.
Hughes to Knicks
- To Knicks: SG Larry Hughes
- To Bulls: SF Tim Thomas, C Jerome James, G Anthony Roberson
Winners
Hughes, Knicks SG: It can’t be worse than it was in Chicago.
Losers
Quentin Richardson, Knicks SG/SF: Should lose time with Hughes in town.
Marion to Raptors
- To Raptors: F Shawn Marion, PG Marcus Banks, cash
- To Heat: C Jermaine O’Neal, SF Jamario Moon, conditional pick
Winners
Marion, Raptors F: If you believe in the powers of a “change of scenery.”
O’Neal, Heat C: He has to be better than he was in Toronto, right?
Andrea Bargnani, Raptors PF/C: With O’Neal gone, Bargnani can play center (and hit 3-pointers).
Losers
Michael Beasley, Heat F: In the sense the Heat won’t start him at small forward.
