Yes this is likely to be another butt whupping by the Celtics but the Nuggets play on their own home floor. I'm torn between wanting the Nuggets to lose ground in the Western Race or watching the Celtics get upset.

^ Damn if I'm torn. I hope the Celtics crush them, because we've got some catching up to do.

no offense, but does it really matter to Rocket fans if the Nuggets are ahead of the Rockets or not in the playoffs?

Don't take it the wrong way. Rocket fans think they're the shit since they beat the Mavericks in Houston without JET and Dirk having the worst game of the season.

You're just mad because your team is back to being irrelevant. Since we're making excuses, we didn't have Mcgrady or Landry, gave up 22 turnovers, played with a new starting and backup point guard, and still whipped the Mavs ass. That means you caught us on our worst day, but it was still enough to beat you. See how that works. :king

Houston should beat Portland easily at home. I don't know why, but it seems the Rockets are a tough matchup for Portland. Oden will struggle against Yao, Scola can guard Aldridge pretty well, Battier/Artest will annoy Roy, and Brooks can penetrate against Portland's PGs.

They are better if T-Mac is fully healthy. He was playing injured all season.

I'll say they're the third best team in the west when they decide to show up to play. That's the problem with Denver... they could be really good if they really tried. The injury to Nene is going to be a problem for them if he doesn't heal by the time the playoffs roll around.
And FWIW, I think whoever draws Denver in the playoffs has a MAJOR chance to move to the second round. Yes, that includes Dallas.

I'd say third best and I'm humongously surprised by that. 4th best if Utah's 100% healthy. I've always considered Carmelo worthless and I thought Nene was done for two years ago. As they share the NW, I'm really, really pissed that Chauncey would make this much of a difference. They're not even close to being contenders though.

That's like asking if it matters to you if you care if you are ahead of Orlando in the playoffs. Dumb question. If you could be a higher seed, why wouldn't you want to be?

I don't think the West is going to come down to who has home court in the Houston/Denver series

Melo has to have an All-Star night.
All the talk is about Billups but Melo's putting up a very quiet 22 points and 8 rebounds per game.
I hope the Nuggets beat the snot out of the Celtics.

The refs were impregnated with lebrons baby since they were all over his dick. And Tim Donaghy was no where near the arena. Terrible officiating, and they only lost by 9. This time Lebron won't get away with the "crab" dribble

a video from 2004 to explain why the Rockets shit down their leg in 2008?
I don't think the West is going to come down to who has home court in the Houston/Denver series
You asked if we, as Rocket fans, cared. Why wouldn't we? Fuck the rest of the west. Maybe Denver/Houston does win the west. The playoffs happen for a reason. If you're so sure that neither is going to win, and everything is going to happen based on what you've seen so far, why don't we just hand the trophy to the Lakers now?

It's too bad Kobe needs Shaq to win a title. I see that you like to focus on the rockets when denver hasn't been past the first round much either. That's cool, at least none of our players are as soft as charmin ultra with a side of jello-pudding (Pau Gasoft)
