be honest, does any other team in the west present a challenge to the lakers specialy when they play 48 mins of their best basketball(which i have no seen them do this season other than bos)
Spurs: we wont count you guys out but way to old way too slow to keep up specially late in the playoffs....

Hornets: Im not even gonna waste my time

Rockets: INJURIES

Nuggets: No way, no chance

Jazz: Cant win on Road

The Lakers are always vastly superior to other teams by this time of the season... until they can defend and rebound like the best teams in the league, they're still vunerable when playoffs basketball is played.

The Spurs. This year's Lakers are one of the decade's most overrated squads.

thats completely untrue...with two 7 footers lamar and kobe reboundings not an issue, defense is not a problem in big games you should know that, Basically we step up when we need to and the playoffs you will see our 48mins of great basketball

There are no threats in the West. THe Lakers will make the Finals, but will be slayed by All the King's Men.

Threats will emerge next year after the Mavs trade Stackhouse/filler for Gerald Wallace and J-Ho/filler for Michael Redd. (ONE CAN DREAM CANT HE)

Ok to say there is no challenge is crazy ... Spurs will always be in it until Duncan declines or leaves ...
Hornets when healthy will be a tough out Id say Lakers in 6 vs hornets or spurs but both would be tough I think we beat Utah mavs or rockets in 5
Blazers or Mavs lucky to win a agame vs Lakers especially if Bynum is back
in east i see 7 game series but Cavs will NOT win it all ...Ghazi ...sorry to break it to you
Celts Lakers rematch if i was betting id say celts repeat in 7 games

But im alkers fan so eff it ...Lakers in 6!!!!

With Oden back a full strength within the week I see no way that the Lakers can compete with the Blazers. We just have too much size. You might be able to steal a game or two in a 7 game series, but the reality is that a Blazers series victory would be a foregone conclusion.

It must be this year where Portland has played LA twice already and loss both by a combined 34 points.

They have LA right where they want them.

Exactly! The Lakers can't play any better than they already did against us. We, on the other hand, have a great deal that we haven't shown the Lakers yet.

I don't think L.A has what it takes to win a title

Regular season championship? Yes

Real title? No

If the Lakers don't have what it takes to win a title the Spurs definitely don't.

The bottom line is the Lakers have proved all they can in the regular season. They swept Boston and Cleveland and have an absolutely dominant record against the top teams in the WC. There really isn't much more they can do right now.

Until the Celtics sign a big man over 6'10" off the bench they vulnerable and Likely won't get past the Cavs.

Sure hope Mikki Moore is the answer.

For whatever reason, The Celtics don't scare me this year.

Cavs only cuz Lebron and Mo Williams and West on the Perimeter shooting 3's

I'd put the Spurs as a tied for 3rd in terms as a favorite to win it.

It's just my opinion, but It would have to be the Lakers first, followed by Cavs, and Spurs Celtics would be like a tie

I think that series would prolly go 7 games, if Gino is healthy
