I'm starting to think we need to hang a chicken in the doorway at the practice facilty or something.

Spurs 3-headed monster Bonner-Thomas-Oberto get to carry the load tonight.. very interesting game coming up. Good opportunity for Pop to experiment with some odd lineups with TD and Manu out.

The sore knee worries me. Not good.

I'm trying not to worry too much, but it's been obvious it bothers him even with how well he's been playing this year. He's had it wrapped a lot this season. He wouldn't miss this game if it wasn't really sore. Let's hope some rest is all it needs.

Down to Big One: Duncan out, too
By Jeff McDonald on Feb 24, 2009 7:12 PM | Permalink | Comments (0) Save & Share Yahoo! BuzzYahoo! Newsvine del.icio.us Facebook Google Reddit Fark
Tim Duncan has joined Manu Ginobili on the sidelines. Duncan was a late scratch for tonight's game against Dallas with a sore knee.

His absence drops the Spurs' Big Three to a Big One -- Tony Parker -- for a game against their Interstate-35 rivals. Ginobili, who is out for the next 10 days to two weeks with a stress reaction in his right ankle.

This is just the second game Duncan has missed this season. He also sat out a Feb. 3 loss at Denver, a game in which four of the Spurs' top five scorers did not play.

I'm sure sitting Duncan wasn't a last minute decision so it's curious.

It sort of was...Timmy told them today that his knee was bugging him, and so they sat him.

Knee injuries are the most worrisome a basketball player can have.
I hope Tim's injury is nothing serious but I will be scared as long as Pop/Spurs don't release more precisions about it.
