The Lakers are 47-10.

I would much rather see them drop games to opponents they will never face in the playoffs than lose to conference/divisional rivals that they will likely face in the playoffs.

Thus far the Lakers record against playoff teams is extremely good.

bad comparison.

TP is clearly 2nd best player in Spurs. So I can see Lakers winning those games w/out Kobe and their 3rd best player

Hey did you guys know the Mavericks traded Devin Harris for Jason Kidd?

The Mavs also lost in the Finals after 2-0, then lost to an 8th seed.

The Spurs have 4 titles, for those that didn't know.

You still have your best player in Parker, and you played two scrub teams that might not make the playoffs. Nothing impressive about those wins.
First off, Tim is our best player, hands down. Second off, Portland is the 5th seed right now, and doing well, despite the loss. And if you think that's not impressive, there's no way in hell the Lakers could do it without Kobe, let along without Kobe and their 2nd or 3rd best player.

Just watching the so called "Ironman" rust from tears in San Antonio still brings me joy every time I see it. You had to be there I guess.
As others have said, how many games can they win if he's out for a few games?
Spurs have two of top three out and are surviving (So far) for the second time this season.
Lakers could not lose #24 along with others and do that. :nope IMHO

You Spur fans look silly trying to talk shit to a team that is about to go 48-10.

The bottom line is this....how good is your team at full strength? The answer to that question is obvious to anyone with a brain....not good enough to beat the Lakers in the playoffs.

you talk a lot of shit for not winning shit in a while - the real question is whether or not you can get over the hump. my guess is that your defense just isn't good enough. Deal with it

Give me a break with this "when was the last time you won" smack talk. When was the last time the Spurs fucking won? You sure as hell didn't win last season because the Lakers bounced your sorry asses the fuck out like they've always done. And you sure as hell don't look like a team that's going to win this season either with all the injuries to your geriatric star players.

The Spurs era is pretty much over. Your glory days are done. The 4 rings you have will be all you can point to decades from now.

DrHouse
02-27-2009, 01:31 PM
That's the saddest thing of all.

If the Lakers win this season the Spurs can't even claim they were team of the decade.

IronMexican

The one fans that really have a right to talk shit is Celtic fans. So don't feed me that "when was the last time the Lakers won the title". When was the las time the Spurs won a title? Was it last year? No. Well, you have abput as much room to talk as Laker fans.

4 titles to 3 in the past decade. Which one is more? 2007 we won it all. And don't forget about the Finals where you were up by 30 at hm and lost. rebuilding yrs? Okay I guess...whatever helps you sleep at night.

why limit it to the past decade? Why not past 30 yrs? why not ask who won more between the spurs and lakers in nba history?

that's all you are - #1 in the regular season. As far as I know, they don't give out a trophy for that. Don't ask about our last game or any game this season for that matter. We stomped your ass last year in the finals and there's absolutely nothing you can say about that until you win the Larry. Stop talking like you've won something when in fact you haven't won shit. Your team is playing weak teams and even the C's have played crappy this year - big f'n deal. Does that mean we'll play like that in the playoffs? keep thinking that chump - because at the end of the day your little weak ass team will lose because it's made for the regular season and not the playoffs - deal with it.

I'm So Hood
02-28-2009, 12:39 AM
Honestly - STFU laker fans. Really - you're having a good regular season, but seriously YOU HAVE NOT WON SHIT...PERIOD! Enjoy your season, but stop crowning yourselves the champ. WE ARE THE MOTHERFUCKIN CHAMPS and that ain't gonna change until somebody dethrones us. I don't give a flying fuck that you're having a great season - playoffs and finals (if you make it there) will be the real reason to talk about success. Until then, stop proclaiming yourselves champions and leave it at that.
