Never good for anyone to get hurt like that.

agreed. But I'm glad Yao did not get the fracture given his experience with the injury bug...........

Preliminary reports say Ben will be out until the end of March. If Ferry needs to blow Sam Presti in order to get Joe Smith bought out, he needs to haul out the kneepads, stat.

No Ben Wallace will hurt the Cavs big time. Now they will have to rely on Big Z for more minutes.

Varejao will have to start, which is even worse.

This team's frontcourt depth sucks.

It's unbelievable that yao survived the collision while Ben got hurt.

to keep their advantages in rebounding, the cavs will have to give the position Ben absends to varejoo who is also a good rebounder. Varejoo is as good as ben in rebounding and he is more comfortable at PF than ben, which are the good parts of this forced subtitution. but ben's absense will definitely weaken the cavs defense. Varejao is younger and more aggressive on the defensive end, but that still can not make up his lack of defensive awareness that Ben is rich in.

I hope he feels better. He won't be playing against the Rockets for the rest of the season, so it doesn't matter for us.

I don't think it'll hurt them too much not to have Ben Wallace.

Ya just means Big Z, Andy and Bron will have to log at least 5 more mins than their current averages and this would cause greater fatigue in the playoffs.

Now the word is that Ben is out for at least three months, which means the season.

Unless Ferry pulls off a miracle in the next couple of days, we're screwed. The Cavaliers just don't have the frontcourt depth to get it done in the playoffs.

They showed the replay like 5 times and I have yet to see any contact whatsoever.

Lots of small ball line-ups are on the horizon.

The King's Court is beginning to crumble

Damn, this is a shame. I've always liked Big Ben Wallace, especially with the 'fro, which he got rid of :(. I guess this is good for us Spurs fans, but I wouldn't want it to come to this. I'd rather see Hack-a-Ben.

I saw him sharing a moped with Monte Ellis before the game... He must've been hurt before that.

Man, that sucks for Ben. Hope he heals well. Not a total killer for the Cavs, but still a significant loss.

Maybe the 'fro was more important than we thought...

Because Big Ben himself doesn't even know.

"It happened in the second quarter, but I don't know the exact play," said Wallace after the game.
