View Full Version : Tim and Manu are out for tonight

...and so am I for other reasons.

They are too banged up according to Pop. He wants to rest them. Spurs already own tiebreaker.

Time for the reserves to bust ass and catch an over-confident Phoenix team.

Are they not suiting up?

I almost expected it from Tim. But Manu is a little odd.

However, I've noticed he's been requesting out (earlier than his scheduled time) lately. I wonder if anything is nagging him, or just exhaustion.

How come? WTF

Bill said he has nagging injuries due to the way he plays. Pop wants to make sure they are good to go down the stretch.

Kori Ellis
03-09-2005, 08:21 PM
Did they say if Tim had any ankle swelling?

blackbucket
03-09-2005, 08:21 PM
By the way Kori, I am not going to be able to make it tonight. I have too much work to do. Y'all have fun.

No, Bill did not say; at least I didn't hear him go into detail with Tim.

Classic CIA move.

Now the Suns are in the no-win situation. Spurs bench can play loose as hell.

Still gonna lose, though.

Good for the team, I guess.

But kinda sucks for basketball fans, and the league.

I wonder if they will play Sat against Denver.

Denver is red hot, Spurs can not afford to drop two straight.

Manu- Hip shoulder and groin injury

Damn Nazr, Manu caught his bad groin from him.

Jimcs50
03-09-2005, 08:34 PM
Vescy said Spurs have nothing to lose in this game and Phoenix has everything to lose and nothing to gain.

He is also saying that Pop is doing the CIA stuff and that they will probably play.

What do we believe???

Of course the Spurs have something to lose. This could well be the game that locks up HCA for the Spurs. I don't get it. Play Duncan 30 min last night in a truly meaningless game that the Spurs probably could have won without him, and then hold him out tonight? Maybe Pop has no confidence in a win and doesn't want to give Phoenix the confidence from beating the Spurs with all their players?

Gee, why didn't Pop just sit the guys last night Instead of today? :rolleyes

Horry starting.

I think Pop is doing a mind fuck on Phoenix...he felt that the Suns would be all pumped up and ready to beat his weary Spurs, so he pulled his AllStars just so SA will maintain their psychological edge over the Suns. He figured they will be losing without TD and Manu, so no big deal. They could have lost last night w/o TD, so they needed to at least see if TD could play like he said he could.

Well this is a very dangerous mind fuck by Pop, considering we are neck and neck with them for home court.

AHF, I predicted this loss and I still had the Spurs winning 63 games....no biggie...63 wins will get them HCA.

let Phoenix have it.

Play phoenix to a tie in the standings and you still win.

Let Duncan and Manu have about three days off.

Saturday is semi important in that you need to send a message to Denver that if you meet in the playoffs, its a 4 game ass whoopin.

This game??

Let Phoenix blow themselves up over it.

Suns aren't looking that good. It's just that Spurs are playing a Suns-style un-defense.
The Spurs can take these guys.

Very proud of this team.

Down 5 with 8 left in teh 4th, back to back.

Very very proud of Parker, Nesterovic, the whole lot.

Big ups SPurs, big ups, with Duncan and GInobili the spurs win this game easily.

IMO, the Suns should be deathly deathly afraid.

ShoogarBear
03-09-2005, 11:22 PM
Suns should be scared shitless.

Manu got hit very hard on his right shoulder last night while going for a loose ball near the sideline. I thought it looked bad at the time and I guess it was.
