EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP)—The New Jersey Nets have waived veteran forward/center Stromile Swift, who did not dress for their game Sunday night against New Orleans.

Swift, who was acquired from Memphis in a February 2008 trade for center Jason Collins and cash considerations, appeared in six games for the Nets this season. He averaged 3.8 points and 2.2 rebounds while playing 10.7 minutes per game.

The ninth-year veteran has averaged 8.5 points and 4.7 rebounds in 534 career games.

A dinosaur says it is an insult to it when Swift's brains are compared to its brains.

Rumor has it the Suns agreed to assist NJ in buying him out so they could have him. I've been a stanch Kerr defender saying he hasn't been the main problem, but a few more dumb random moves like over paying Dragic and Swift might change my mind.

How can the Suns (or any other team for that matter) help NJ buy him out? That sounds illegal.

Is there a dumber player in the NBA than Stromile Swift? No thank you.

I don't think so, what's there to stop Robby Sarver from giving a 7 figure "Christmas present" to the Net's owner?
