Camby because of his defense would have been much better than Gooden.
But Gooden is much better than what we have.
And we needed a starting power forward/center.
We had no chance at a championship with Bonner starting as our center or power forward. Zero. None at all. We were done.
Now, if Gooden is signed and if we play better, than we have a glimmer of hope.

Hairston better not go back to the D-League, he's doing pretty well. Did Pops play any at all tonight? I don't remember seeing him - maybe this is a sign that we might be signing a FA.
I think Hairston sticks around as insurance on our swingmen. He won't see as many minutes when Manu's back, but I think he's proven he can be useful.

Fuck, he should cut into Fins minutes. At least from an incredibly small sample size, we can be relatively sure if Hairston isn't on, he will still bring solid D and hit the boards. But if Fin is having an off night, he won't do shit.

With our next opponents being the Dallas Mavericks, I was looking around online and noticed something. Something everyone should be aware of. And this can be very scary. Someone is hiding out and is seeking his revenge. It could happen on Wednesday...Johnny's back.

Pop will give the veteran minutes every time.

Totally agree. When Fin has off nights-they are off. Glad he was red hot tonight though. I wish he could do that more consistently.

We were talking about this earlier today, and I think Bowen should be starting in place of Fin. Our defense can suck early in the games and we can find ourselves behind because of great wing scorers like Roy did last night. The only reasons I can think of for Pop starting Fin over Bowen are:
1. Finley sucks coming off the bench.
2. Pop is trying to save Bruce's stamina for the playoffs.
3. Pop is trying to put a more offensively-geared team on the court.

The Spurs vent a little frustration on the Clippers...nothing like a blowout win to shake off the weight of those 2 losses. :flag:

You really want to neuter his urge to drive? He can always look to kick out, plus he won't be targeted like TP, what the hell is in that bong you're smoking?
