There was a discussion that a certain poster on these boards was having on a certain radio show with his partner about who was the most popular Spur ever.

More specifically the question was, if David Robinson and Sean Elliott were to run for mayor, based on popularity, who would win.

So, who do you vote for when it comes to popularity.

My vote, David Robinson.

it depends on who you ask..

if you ask Spurs fans..probably Robinson, Duncan, or Manu..

if you ask Pop..probably Michael Finley..

if you ask people that like watching the Spurs lose..probably Ime Udoka..

D rob...but Gervin needs to get more love, Im guessing because so few of you even saw him play, but the man was not only popular here, but nationaly

As much as people love Pops Mensah-Bonsu on this board, the last couple weeks of man-love still doesn't hold a candle to the amount of time and energy spent on James White, James Gist, or Luis Scola.

This is close and a tough decision since both are deserving. I go with Drob even though TD will end up with more career accomplishments. I just feel that David's overall service to the community puts him over the top.
