The Ginobili Move

Anybody catch the Texas game last night? The kid from turkey made a long step and the announcer called it the 'ginobili move'.

Hadn't heard referenced before.... thought it was cool.

Anyway, god I'm really missin him, anybody got an update? Is running, rehab anything? Hasn't it been 2-3 weeks already?

I miss him too. I think his brother mentioned he would possibly play next Sunday. But who knows...no official reports yet.

I read somewhere that Pop said this Thursday was the '2 weeks' mark from the 2 to 3 weeks initial recovery estimate. Think about another week or so.

Keep Manu out as long as it takes to fully recover. He came back too quickly the last time and he over-compensated for the other ankle and thus has the present strain. Pop knows (as we all do with Manu healthy) what Manu can do once he gets back into game shape (4-5 games and 10 days of practice). Let guys like Mason, Bonner, Hill, Hairston get as many minutes possible so we'll be ready to rock n' roll come playoff time. Allow Gooden a couple weeks of rest while watching games courtside to get a feel of how the players move, block out, etc. A healthy Spurs team in the playoffs will bring home Trophy #5! Take it to the bank...just not one of the bankrupt banks!

i say leave him out until we absolutely have to bring him in. okay as long as he does get his game shape before playoffs. he shouldn't of come back when he did we were playing well without him and he could have sat a little longer. let's not make the same mistake.

Are you talking about the slow, long, side step type move through the keyway? It's been around forever, but I have heard commentators refer to it being something Manu is great at when other players do it. It really is quite tricky to do.

I've never really understood the hate for Manu and his defensive flopping. It's usually to accentuate contact that actually happened and the falling helps to sell the initial foul that had already happened.

Now his offensive flopping, sure, that must be frustrating for opposition fans :lol
