Based on a history of injuries and the potential for sucking, do you think Drew Gooden will make it to the Spurs' Playoff roster?

1) Yes
2) No

Yes. Why? He has played deep into the playoffs the past few years as a starter for the cavaliers. Playoff experience is his ticket.

Will Pops Barack-Obama make the HOF this year on a special Chairman's invitation?

there is no playoff roster anymore. 12 men active, 3 inactive, and you can switch players in and out between every game.

I think Gooden will narrowly beat out Pops Mensah-Bonsu, Marcus Williams and Luther Head for that last spot.

Of course he'll make the roster why else would we sign him?

yes..yes he will. I really do think hes the big man balancer we need to help steady timmy and take us through the currently surging west and back into the heated battle with the lakers. please...please payoff, Mr. Gooden. Go Spurs!

Pointless thread. the fact that Spurs signed him means he is healthy/good enough for playoff roster spot.

Why would the Spurs waste money on him if they didn't think he could play or if they didn't plan on playing him? Come on now.

Is this thread basically asking if we think he'll be healthy for the playoffs? Because, as many have said, there's no playoff roster.

As for his hernia problem, I don't know. Hopefully he's well enough to play and make a difference.

No. In fact, I think we will release him the day after we sign him so that the Lakers can sign him.

Why would we sign someone without the hope of having them contribute for the big picture?

We wouldn't. That's why I'm hopeful he's not seriously injured. We'll know more tonight hopefully.

I get what you mean. I think he'll be playing for us in a week or so. Just a guess, I have no sources on this.

Like every other person that knows about the NBA has said, there is no playoff roster anymore. Anyways, I think he will get healthy by the playoffs, unless he has to have some type of surgery.

I voted for neither since the choices were so lame.
There's no playoff roster....
Depending on the injury that league officials have, who knows if he
even plays at all??

lol who voted no? there is no playoff roster anymore. you can activate and deactivate roster spots as you go. so if gooden plays 10 seconds during the playoffs this year then he made it.

Okay fine, poor choice of words. What I meant by this poll is in the 20+/- games left in the regular season, will Gooden not only stay healthy, but have enough basketball IQ to pick up on the Spurs system of basketball on both sides of the ball so that he can be put into regular rotation for the Playoffs. Does that make more sense to the Rules Committee?
