Spurs television analyst Sean Elliott knows a thing or two about the fatigue than can sometimes creep up on the body of an NBA player this time of the year. Earlier this week, Elliott said, "These are basically the dog days of the NBA season. It's not quite the homestretch when you've got ten or fifteen games left, but you know there's still six weeks left and it can be a challenge."

As of this writing the Spurs are the #2 seed in the Western Conference and even though we all may see the light at the end of the tunnel, there's still a considerable amount of navigation required before the playoffs arrive.

Fourteen year veteran center Kurt Thomas says the Spurs have made progress in recent weeks but there is still room for improvement and there's still time to work on things. Thomas says,"We have to keep working hard and fighting against fatigue. We may glance at the standings but we know things can change between now and playoff time, so we have to just keep pushing on through."
