According to various unname sources Drew Gooden will not be signing with the Spurs as previously thought due to a failed physical. His hernia became much worse while sittiing on the john as he was reading all of comments about him in Sportstalk.

Could happen.

I think it would have been cool to leave the title as Drew Gooden fails his physical just so all those who have been slamming Drew for the past week csn get over the heart attack and thank their lucky stars that this story isn't true, yet.

I think it would have been cool to leave the title as Drew Gooden fails his physical just so all those who have been slamming Drew for the past week csn get over the heart attack and thank their lucky stars that this story isn't true, yet.

There are cooler, smarter ways to make that point. Besides, a large majority of the posts about Gooden coming to the Spurs have been positive.

So are there any updates on Gooden yet? There is no official word or press release on spurs.com yet? Anybody know anything? I know last night News 4 and Don Harris were reporting that he would be introduced to the media today.

Nope. Not to validate the OP, but what if he fails the physical, or doesn't work out and is benched?

That damn near spells doom to me, unless Bonner can shoot 45%+ in the playoffs and outscore his man(that'll be tough with Gasol). Or the Big 3 all come together and avg 70 against LAL, which would be possible. The roleplayers would have to step up as well.

Chris Duel and Jason Minnix just reported that they expect the Spurs to make the official announcement before the day/night is over.
