We can beat the Fakers right now. + Gooden - Bynam has shifted the balance of power up front. If Bonner gets beat up inside, we can bing in Gooden.

I think Scola would help quite a bit, but ultimately the Spurs can beat the Lakers with or without him. Not without a healthy Manu, though. So if we're going to fret over something we have no control over, I'd rather go with the latter, which actually does have a chance of being remedied.

Yeah except our Tight end is good...and what's the Raiders record since the Super Bowl in 2002????

Zach Miller is a top tier TE, dumbass. You think Roy Williams is a #1? Dude is so overrated.

Please_dont_ban_me
03-06-2009, 02:48 PM
Yep, but you can't blame the refs for Brick Barry bricking the wide open shots that were given to him.

True.

But this was the turning point in the series. And had it been any other ref I might not have thought TOO hard about it, but f'ing Joey Crawford. The same guy that got fired b/c of Timmy? *shakes head*

No Roy Williams plays WR DUMBASS and we'll be fine once we sign Tory Holt....Jason Whitten plays TE and is the 2nd best in the league, maybe the best. Win more games than you lose and then talk, please. Good bye.

lets not use a home team bias from holding back on calling witten the best TE in the league..he's got the best hands, runs SOLID routes, has more heart than all the other TE's in the league (playing the week after a broken jaw as a rookie, getting ROCKED on a tackle that makes u lose your helmet, yet gains like 30 more yards on the play, playing with cracked ribs, and other injuries last year) and has a great relationship with his QB that is only gonna benefit from losing a glory-hog WR who cant stand the fact someone on the team is shining a little brighter..

i agree with the roy williams thing, he has great hands, but lacks breakaway speed..he is on the verge of being a #1, but he needs more speed.. and tony gonzales is old already, the only reason he is being mentioned is for the fact that the national media refuses to pass the torch from him, kinda like the way they kept larry allen in the pro bowl when he wasnt even playing that great.

hasn't worked out too bad for my Chargers.

the TE can be the #1 target as long as the other guys aren't totally worthless, like in KC.

IronMexican

I agree that Witten is the best TE in the NFL. But don't undermind Miller.

And Kansas City has done shit for Gonzalez's entire career. They might be good once in a great while, but never did shit, cause you need a WR. Trent Green, Priest Holmes, and Gonzalez did shit.

man dont get it twisted, T.O. is a locker room nightmare, a nightmare on the field for defenses.. can you rememeber him hauling ASS downfield to set blocks for felix jones last year against Green Bay when felix was already gonna score anyway? the guy DOES block, and he is an awesome addition to any team, as LONG as the QB is capable of passing for over 150 yds, which Jamarcus is not really gonna be doing much of because they have him in a ball control offense, and the team wins with T.O. as the shining star.

it really is, i know what forum im posting in but i HAD to comment on the "get your popcorn ready" sig when going to oakland isnt a done deal..do you REALLY think T.O. is gonna want to end his career on a team that has been in rebuild mode for like 8 years?? i think the idea of New England is the only one that makes any sense, and that would be an awesome thing to watch..

IronMexican

It's just me hoping he comes here. It obviously wouldn't be his first choice, but Oakland is no one's first choice. The Raiders seem to be gearing more towards a running team with the signing of Khalif Barnes, so TO might not like this team.

dude sorry to ruin it for you, but T.O. is not gonna go to a rebuilding team to end his career.. the only reason Oakland is mentioned is because T.O. has burned his bridges just about EVERYWHERE and Al Davis is about the ONLY GM dumb enough to sign the guy.. NE makes more sense, he will actually have a chance to win a superbowl, and he cant question Brady being gay because he just married gisele.. he will start questioning his friendship with moss as soon as T.O. becomes the 2nd option though, watch.

Terrel might sign with Oakland, because it could be his only option. If the Raiders don't sign TO, they draft Crabtree, and have a hole to fill at DT. My dream off season would be this.

Trade the #7 pick to Philadelphia for the #21 and #28 picks. with these, you drafts Darrius Howard-Bey(He is a project, but truly something else) Ron Brace(The second best NT in the drafts this year. I like him more than Raji) and with the #40 pick the in draft, you grab Alex Mack from Cal. That fills three of the biggest needs on this team. This team still needs a true MLB, because Kirk Morrison is a OLB.

IronMexican

I am not high on Crabtree. He has great hands, but below average speed. Al only drafts burners. And people make it out like Al Davis drafts Wideout's all the time, but he hasn't drafted one since Tim Brown in 1988(Brown>>Irvin). So what leads on that Crabtree is a Raider pick? I see it more likely that Al drafts Malcom Jenkins, because he has a serious hard on for Cornerbacks.

They lost that series because:

1) The fourth quarter of game 1
2) Your reference above

IF either of those go our way it's 2-2 going to LA. IF both do, it's 3-1 Spurs. Yes I believe that series was a hell of a lot closer than the 4-1 finish would indicate.

Should be an interesting matchup should they meet in the WCF.

The scheduling also heavily favored the Fakers. No way we blow a 20 point lead in game one without the rigged scheduling.

No way Joey Crawford should have been assigned a Spurs playoff game.

If Duncan not sick at the beginning of thr Hornets series, we would have been rested for the Fakers.
