Almost everyone in the organization gets one. My high school principal here in Southern California is some kind of west coast scout, and he has all 4 rings. He wears the 2007 one everyday, it's humungous.

A bit confused...Shouldn't Jordan have gotten his teammates at least 60 rings?

Edit: Nevermind just understood what you were saying. It is a great example of Duncan's greatness and his ability to adapt to a constantly changing team.

Min/LA Lakers since 1949
210 championship rings <~~~ players only :toast

"oh what was that but but but... you werent even there for the minny days and spurs have been there only since 73"

fine... since 72 the lakers have racked up 135 rings compared to 60* the spurs earned.

thats not including executives, coaches, chick hearn, or even jerry buss JUST players...

LOL :lobt2:

funny thing is the spurs have been around nearly as long as the lakers been in los angeles and they have JUST NOW started competing..... the bandwagoners quickly hop off the cowboys football bandwagon and jump on the basketball wagon to sport the black and silver jerseys, flags, and other gaudy crap for your baseline SHITS....

135/15million people = 1 ring per 111,111 LA fans (not including non resident frontrunning bandwagoners)

60/1million people = 1 ring per 16,666 fans...

I'm big fan of TD.Sure He's the best player of the NBA last ten years but I can't understand what you want to say.

MJ was the best player I saw and i'm sure I never will see someone better.IMO The best basketball player of the history by far.
I can't talk about Russel or Chamberlain because to win in the 60's was more easy when basketball wasn't as popular in the world or in the USA and there was a lot of white boys in the NBA,obviously not because white players were better before than now.I'm sure Wilt or Bill wouldn't be better than Shaq or TD if they had played today.

But TD and MJ have at least one thing in common. They are able to made their teammates better than they really are (Pippen,Kerr,Amstrong,Perdue,Manu,Parker,Longley,N esterovic,Nazr,Bowen,Oberto,Bonner....)

but you're not even mentioning the fact that jordan would have without a doubt won eight in a row if he never decided to play baseball.

you can't say the same thing about duncan (duncan didn't have the dominance that jordan had).

no one is trying to compare us to the Lakers franchise, obviously its no contest all-time.
however im not sure you should be calling spurs fans bandwagon, most of us have been following this team for years before they even competed for their first title.
LA fans, meanwhile, are the only ones known to routinely boo their own team/players during hard times, they dont arrive till the 2nd quarter and leave halfway through the 4th

this argument is one of the most false that i often see here.

what Tim brings to his teamates is winning, because he's a great franchise player.

but a good part of his teamates indeed did better in others teams, mainly because they were only role players on the spurs (beno, rasho, Jackson.....).

to say that he makes tony and manu better than they really are is just false and Ducan's homers best argument.

Tony has just shown in these last games what he could do without Tim. and even with the really poor french national team, even if he lost being badly surrounded, he was awesome recently. i remember some haters saying tony without Tim is at Beno's level :lol. Wake me up when beno put the numbers tony put these seven last games.

For Manu, i think i don't have to explain why he's a great player by himself: look at his results in Italy or with Argentina. He was succesful in every level. Tim wasn't in FIBA.

Manu and tony are great players by themselves. and they helped tim win three of his four rings too.

I'm sure every tim's teamates is thanksful with him because he gave them the most consistent and succesful franchise player of this decade. but he didn't make them better players.

Not without a doubt, The Spurs we're 5-1 against the first bulls 3-peat team. And with the way olajuwon played in the 95 playoffs especially against the bulls centers I think houston would've won.

wow, you Laker fans are insecure. This was a Spurs thread, and only the Bulls were brought up. I could see Bulls fans throwing their weight around in this one, since their success was called out. No one brought the Lakers or Celtics into this discussion......well you did.

We all know how successful those two teams have been. We are not idiots. But, we also don't need insecure fans like yourself trying to throw your alleged dominance down our throats.....

The Lakers and Celtics standard speaks for itself. It really doesn't need you fans to spew their accolades in every fucking thread.

Most of the championships were in Minneapolis against 5 other NBA teams. Winning back then was easy if you had a good team b/c you only had to compete against 5 or 6 teams. I know it wasn't over 30 teams. How many rings have you won since 2002? Stop talking like you are the defending champs when the Celtics are. Or did you erase that game 6 39 pt loss from your memory. Worst loss ever by a team in the Finals.

If tim duncan didnt make them better during their rookie seasons, he wouldve demanded a trade or signed in orlando. You make it sound like PARKER AND GINOBOLI came in and contributed alot overnight, these 2 were very streaky in the playoffs which costs us games early in their careers. You remove tim from the squad, this team wouldnt even be winning a playoff series.
