If the Suns somehow got the #8 seed in the West and faced the Lakers in the 1st round, who would you want to win the series? Not who you think WOULD win, but who you would WANT to win.

uh...probably the team that would be easier for the Spurs to beat.

Is this really a question?

One of the dumbest questions I've ever seen posed on a forum. Congrats.

All kidding aside, I agree with you...the Mavs actually do worry me...for some reason, they are a bad matchup for the Spurs. If they play anyone else but the Spurs in the playoffs, they will get bounced, though.

nope, suns will definitely make a big trouble to lakers and probably wipe them out eventually. Suns are not a threat to any other western team except lakers. the trangle relationship among lakers, spurs and suns is just like "stone, scissors and cloth".

Yeah, and I pretty much knew the answer...if the Suns somehow knocked off the Lakers (Shaq goes nuts against his former team or something), then the Spurs knocked off the Suns (pretty much inevitable), it would shut the Lakers up without us actually having to visit the Staples Center. We wouldn't have beaten the Lakers, but we would have beaten the team that beat the Lakers, and that's good enough for me. Plus, with the Lakers out of the way, the Spurs would be a lock for the Finals. :hat

Yeah, but it's fun to imagine... :lol

Seriously, we all know that barring unusual events, the Lakers and Spurs will meet for the WCF.

Obviously the easier team to beat so as to not put too much wear and tear on the Spurs for the next series.

No brainer......

Just like I didn't cry when GS beat Dallas in 2007.

I don't see them winning a series with LA. One or two mebbe if LA has an off series. Would be sweet though.

Suns obviously, but that's not going to happen. Even if the Suns do find a way to sneak into the playoffs the lakers would dispatch them in 5 games tops.

Yeah..we'd hate to get a 4-0 sweep and be rusty for the second round.

Suns, but not because they are the Suns.
Any #8 seed winning gives the #2 home court advantage.
