potential doesnt mean anything, he is unproven. he doesnt know the rotation well enough. being good in international teams doesnt = good in the nba.

he hits a few shots and everyone blows their load, so what. 3 points is 3 points. we will bench him in the playoffs in favor of JV.

i was being sarcastic...

i was mocking the way you guys refuse to even acknowledge anyone who hasnt been on the spurs for 4+ years no matter how much more they contribute.

One season is usually my threshold for experience, but there are exceptions.

Malik isn't one of them.

Worth keeping around, though.

Needs to take lessons from Tony and manu on how to finish at the rim.

It all depends how he performs in the playoffs. Sub .400 shooting + clutch= acceptable, Sub .400 shooting + no clutch= not acceptable

He is what he is; he was saying that he's gonna train like a madman this summer, he might improve a bit in that department, but probably not by a huge margin.

Coach Poop, have you ackowledged that Gooden was a good pick up for the Spurs whereas Pops was not ready yet to play in the play-off rounds with the Spurs because of lack of experience. And, that the salary the Spurs would have had to pay Udoka if they waived him was to high a price to pay for allowing Pops to remain with the Spurs. Seems to me you are the one who fails to ackowledge the realities of the game. :wakeup

Great future, as long as he's not playing point guard. Ever.

Big statement when we didn't trade him for Vince. He says he wants to play here for awhile. Is it just me or is he gonna be around long? Im talking taking the ropes when TD and Ginobili go, I could see him staying there with T-Park.

I love the effort he's making, he's not really that athletic.. maybe practice throwing his body into the defender inviting contact rather than trying to avoid it and get to the line.

Good as long as he isn't too much of a defensive liability.
