This is a tough game for the Lakers. Plus Portland wants to rebound on how badly they played in Denver on Thursday night with a chance to lead the NW Division.

I believe Portland may get this one tonight.

I have a feeling the Lakers will win despite their problems in the Rose the past few years.

Portland's lucked by mediocre East teams the last 2 home games, they're due for a loss.

Portland has been playing badly and win games due to luck. Besides that, they don't matchup well with the Lakers. I would be surprised if they pull out a win tonight.

Come on now man..I'm disappointed in you. You're in the Spurs forum all the time...we're always saying problems our team has. We don't think there's nothing wrong with our team. We know we have issues. Manu's hurt, Timmy's not 100%...we kind of have a big man issue, but we're hoping Drew can help with that. We know we're not perfect...but we have confidence, just like you. You shouldn't come in here and say shit like that...you know it's b.s.

Um...you seem to forget..the Spurs are a lot better team as well. The Lakers aren't the only team who have a new player. George Hill, fast rookie PG..Roger Mason, who already showed he's not afraid to take the big shot against LA...Drew Gooden (who I really shouldn't even put in here, because we don't know what he'll do yet..he's just a new player on the team, though he does average 13 and 8)...Udoka is slowly starting to come into his own..he was nowhere last year...Matt Bonner is a totally different player this year. How many centers do you see as the number two 3 point shooter in the league? Don't get it twisted..the Spurs have gotten better also...a LOT better.

Not every Spurs fan. I have respect for guys like you, Dr. House, and Laker fans who know other things besides "we're the greatest" "check the rings" and things like that. there are some bad Laker fans..you have to admit it..just like I admit there are some bad Spurs fans...There is more parity in this league lately than there has been all year. The Spurs vs. Lakers series, which I think and hope will happen in the WCF will be great...and I think it will decide who wins the Finals, as I think both of our teams are better than Cleveland and Boston.

And we all know how poorly the Lakers play against sucky teams (Kings, Bobcats, Grizzlies, etc).

SpursDynasty

explain. and give me a real reason..not some bullshit answer.

Because the Lakers are not as good as their record indicates....when teams show up to play, even junk teams like the Blazers, they win. The Lakers rely too much on their shots falling, and tonight their shots aren't falling.

Also, Kobe has taken 15 shots already in the 1st half alone. 6-for-15 from the floor. His ballhogging will hurt his team in the long run, as in tonight. He's not sharing the ball tonight. He has something personal against Portland.

If the Lakers keep giving up wide open the 3's the Blazers aren't going to miss. I'm not sure what Phil is thinking keeping Luke Walton on the floor. I disagree. What's going to take for the Spurs to beat the Lakers is be healthy. Last season was no different. If we are healthy (and that's a big IF right now), not only we can beat LA, we can take your team down in less than 6 games.
And I really want Bynum and Ariza healthy, so we don't have to hear excuses afterwards.

I don't agree...I don't see us beating LA in less than 6 games...but if we are 100% healthy, we CAN beat LA.

He has something personal against Portland.

thanks for the explanation.

Obviously, I didn't expect the Lakers to be down 22 points in the 3rd quarter. However, Portland plays very well at home and they were looking forward to this game.

I felt the Blazers were going to win tonight and I know it is not over yet. But, I've always said that role players for good teams play better at home and if they are making shots...that team will tough to be beat.

funny, especially coming from a fan of a team who will be lucky to win 60 games (including playoff wins) total this year

Boundless and opinionated. I can play too: We're winning our fifth ring this season, including sending LA fishing again...

What a pussy. That was a hard foul and that's it. Nothing flagrant about that.

Rudy is just another Euro-pussy who can't handle contact. Trevor did nothing to him in the air that was flagrant. Rudy is just soft.

Does Rudy Fernandez think he's Paul Pierce or something.

I think Odom will be suspended, as he left the bench.

2 games then defintly lakers lose 3 in row and only 5 games back with lakers having a brutal road stretch to end the month

Odom is gone for 2 games for leaving the bench

Now....you're just being crazy. Because if Kobe or Odom got hit like that in the air...you would be having different posts right now.
