What do you all think? Tomorrow is supposed to be a crappy rainy day and it's going to continue on through the end of the week.
All you weather gurus with your maps...is it going to be a drought busting rain? A soaking? Or is it just a bunch of talk? Should we worry about washing our cars (which I almost did a few minutes ago but thought better of it...)
I'm getting ready. I'm stocking on rain boots, candles, board games, and gettin' ready for work to be canceled. (just kidding!)

What I saw last night was 2-3" for the whole episode for Austin, 1-2" for San Antonio.
But I'm no Weather Manny.

Several websites (mysa.com, weather.com, etc.) also predict rain for SA for Thursday through Saturday. I'd love about four days of nonstop rain.

I would welcome four days of non-stop rain. I just washed my truck this weekend, but who cares. We need rain.

I doubt we get four days of nonstop rain. We will almost certainly get some storms tomorrow and then periods of rain through the next few days. Drought buster is highly unlikely but at this point 2 or so inches of rain sounds pretty reasonable and that is more than I an remember for a long ass time.
Its pretty humid out there so there's some decent moisture for the front to work with tomorrow. Oh and it might hail a bit in places too.

Growing up in Phoenix, I've learned to love rain. When I lived in Pittsburgh last summer, it rained every other day, and that was fine by me.

It's wet over here at Ingram, but it's a pretty light drizzle; barely enough to cover the bottom of the rain gauge.

Damn. Looks like most of the real rain is sliding by North of us. We don't need drizzles, we need INCHES of slow rain lasting for days.
I took a leak at the ranch a couple of days ago and there was literally a dust cloud blowing downwind from where it was hitting the ground.

I'm picking up my mom at the airport this afternoon for a 6-day visit if it makes you feel any better.

I know what you mean. Not that I don't like my mother, but there is a reason I moved across the country at 18 :lol And my mother-in-law is about the best person ever, which doesn't help.
Hey, it's actually raining pretty hard over here now. Wish it was going to last longer.

Well, despite getting screwed out of the rain around here, the good news is that I have been watching the radar all day and it has been steady raining on the headwaters of the aquifer...might be enough to postpone water rationing for awhile...

Yeah maybe a week. Unless we have a super wet Spring you can almost bet on having those restrictions up fairly soon.
