I'll bet other coaches and GMs are fuming that the Spurs picked up another relatively unknown player who's turned out to be a great find! Who'da thought such a talented player could come out of UIPUI!

Where is that thread that says Pop doesn't give backup PGs a chance? Hill played most of the 4th and did it flawlessly. I guess Pop didn't know he was in there.

Spurs outscored them 20-6 in the last 8 minutes. Hill played the entire 4th quarter at the 2 position with 9 points in the quarter. The two PGs, Parker and Mason went for 21 points apiece and 7 and 5 assists respectively. :wow

That would be true however Hill was not playing PG out there tonight.

Good game! That lineup in the 4th was strong defensivly. Parker, Hill, Bowen, Udoka, and Timmy. It was very nice to watch.

Mason was 5-8 from 3 land, and the Spurs shot 61.1% (11-18) from beyond the arc...DAYUM!!!

I think this what Mason is doing is what Pop is looking for in a back up PG. Mason is scoring quite well in that role so far. Hill has been awesome in the 4th quarter the last few games.

I think Hill sitting out some games and then coming in the 4th playing very good defense has been big for him.

I really think Pop tried Mason at PG because he wasn't liking George's passiveness on that end. I don't think Pop would have been upset at Hill's D or anything like that.

I know there's still a lot of basketball left to play, but if the Spurs stay healthy, they can beat anyone, even the Lakers...GO SPURS GO!!!!! :flag:

Tim Duncan hasent been over 20 points in a while.

With a day of rest...I will predict he will have a big game on Thursday night.

This was a nice win.

The Spurs held the Bobcats to 44% shooting and outrebounded them by ten, 42-32 and shot the ball well from 3 pt. land.

After a tight game for 3 1/2 quarters...the Spurs took control down the stretch.

This was a good way to get ready for Thursday's game.

He didn't shot the ball well and he had to work for those 18 points.

TD will have a big game on Thursday night!!!

We won by 14, even with the Bobcats being +9 on FTA and +10 on FTM...if the fouls were even, this would've been a blowout.

What I have noticed most is that the Team has started to finally gel together, and I love seeing that. I wish Manu and Gooden were able to be in there to be apart of the gelling right now. I know that just wishful thinking though.

I so can't wait to see the whole team together! :flag:

I hope Gooden and Manu will assimilate well. I remember after Tony came back Mason and George didn't play with much confidence for awhile.

18 and 11 is a double-double.

One thing is a mystery to me. Where was Boris Diaw in the 4th quarter? He was doing well in the 3rd quarter, particularly when iso'd down low. Was he hurting? Radmanovic was in there and did nothing, while Parker and Hill really D-'d up on Bell and Felton.

Thats what kind of has me worried a bit especialy coming back so late in the season. However spurs usually seem to have this knack of overcoming all the odds, and thats one of the reasons why we love our spurs.:toast

I got it mixed up with a 20-10 game, which TD gets quite often...

Double figures. Double-Double minimum would be 10-10

Yeah...sorry...I was thinking of a 20-10 game, not a double-double...TD usually has a 20-10 game when he's playing well.

Probably...he only has about a 20% completion percentage on attempt he makes at the rim.

Man, I love all the bitching on here about the Spurs playing down to their opponent, when it is so natural. And everyone knows the Spurs will only gets interested in the 3rd or 4th quarter anyways, no need to go in cardia arrest over it.

Also I'm cool with the PG experiment til Manu is back, than Hill needs the 13 minutes TP doesn't play, Mason needs to be SG/SF with the same number of minutes, and Fin needs to play way less, with Bowen and even Ime's PT going up, or at least not changing. Idk what everyones minutes have been with Manu out this stretch, but I hope Fin is the one to get his workload decreased... and if a 2nd person has to get the axe(I know there will be, cuz Fin won't lose 25 mins), I guess it'll have to be Ime.

I Hope Hairston is worked into the rotation soon, even for only 5 mins guarenteed a game, before the pointless end season games, where he hopefully gets the glut of SF minutes.

im not sure now if Hairston deserves minutes over Finley or Udoka now.

I never thought id say it but Finley looks pretty decent out there. Hes knocking his shots down at a good % and hes being compitent on defense.

Udoka the same exact thing. Hairston still has stuff to learn in the system but i dont see how he wouldnt come in handy in the playoffs maybe.
