Played the shit out of part 4, Part 5 demo was ok but I have played many demos that I did not like but loved the full game.

I have the Xbox and the PS3 version on my gamefly GameQ, that way my chance of getting it faster are better. I really don't care which one I get even tho the Xbox one is slightly better according to many sites.

So I sent Far Cry 2 back to gamefly(sorry game imo) and to my surprise I get a text this morning that RE5 for the Xbox has shipped, Hell yea!!!

Also the buy it price is pretty cheap for a brand new game. It's $48.99 and I just got a email of $5 off coupon so if I want it I will only pay 43.99 for RE5 which is sweet.

If I was a member for 6 months I would have gotten another 5% off and for year and over members you get 10% off

I just rented Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and that games is great. I thought I would not like it from the demo but it's fun and my daughter loves watching me play it but once she heard I got RE5 on the way she got way happy. She loved watching me play RE4 and would bug me to play it over and over.

Well, I usually go by an aggregate scoring system. Right now RE5 has an averaged score of 8.4. RE4 scored ~1 full point higher. It seems like 1up's concerns are valid about the game, however. I'm not ruling out buying it yet, but we'll see.

OBlivion or fallout 3 >>>>>>> mass effect, where the main thing you do in terms of exploration is find the one planet in a system you can go on, then collect random rocks and activate satellites ... so stupid. the main plot line lasted about 15 hours and bored me almost the whole way. I won't say its a bad game, because its not, but for the money I paid and the hype surrounding it, very disappointing IMO.

Depends on how many side quests you do, but the developers recently released a FREE expansion for PC owners.

The game also has some pretty solid replay value, as playing as a vanguard or soldier is completely different than as an engineer.

Naw, it still a pretty sweet game. I may not like it as much as 4, but I still don't regret paying 60 bucks for it. It's growing on me the more I play it as well.

I just bought Mass Effect for 12 bucks about a couple of months ago and played it. I really enjoyed the begining of it. I loved the upgrades you get and how it was done. Story was OK b ut I never got to finish it and I don't really care too. Voice acting was great and so were the graphics till this day.

I went out and got Mass Effect and Star Ocean. I'm enjoying Mass Effect.

As far as the ps3 v 360 thing, I'm sure they both look and play just fine. Or just as bad, depending on your RE5 take as a whole.

Also, while I agree with you that the PS3's online is lacking in substance and fluidity, it is making improvements. I also disagree that the 360 puts out games regularly that look any better. I traded my Nintendo Wii straight up for a 60 GB Ps3. Nice try though. I will completely agree that Blu-Ray is a bit overhyped for the difference. There is a difference but it is typically not worth the price paid per movie for it.

Why do you care about graphics if you're playing on a console? I have noticed very little difference, if any, between the two consoles in graphical capability. One tends to have better anti-aliasing, the other has better color depth.

Speaking of which, what awesome 360 exclusives are coming out in the next year? I am actually asking this question in honesty, because the Halo FPS series is finished, GoW2 was not nearly as good as billed, and well... what else is there that separates the Ps3 and 360 games?

It's a fact that the Ps3 and 360 are equal in graphical capability with subtle differences between the two.

It's a fact that the PC absolutely blows away either console in power and graphics and ability to run games at 4-8x Anti-Aliasing and 16x Anisotropic Filtering at resolutions of 1920x1200 and over. And if you talk shit about how bad the Ps3's graphics are, guess what? You're shooting yourself right in the foot. PC >>>> 360, PC >>>> Ps3 in graphical capability. I'm not even arguing the gameplay or online standpoint here. Just stop spouting drivel about graphics and then acting like it doesn't matter that the consoles already have relatively dated graphics. You either care about graphics or you don't.

It's a fact that the 360 has an horrid failure rate and that M$ completely dropped the ball, repeatedly, on being a decent company to their customers. If they can fix the RRoD at no cost to the consumer, why not the E74 error?

And yes, most of my reason for owning a Ps3 rather than a 360 is primarily due to the frequent brick job by a 360. That doesn't make me a fanboy, I just don't want to play a console that I'm scared I'm going to fuck up just by PLAYING it.
