Did you know that the Dallas Mavericks traded Devin Harris to the New Jersey Nets for Jason Kidd?

also, Kidd has been > than and more important to his team than Nash this year.

son he played that awesome defense on Kidd when he was standing wide open for a 3 after Dirk passed it to him.

So, you want to tell everybody here that either Paul or Williams is not as good as Parker? Come on, get real! CP3 and DWill are currently the best PG's in the league. If you rank Parker #3, that's okay for me, because he's playing very well right now, but he's definitely not above CP3 or DWill.

Chauncey gave a Nuggets team a brief surge in intensity, but by the end of this season they will be right back to where they were last year. Carmello just isn't as good as people make him out to be.

Tony Parker is not even the first option on his team. Like CP3 or Williams. When Manu and Tim are healthy TP has to defer to them alot, so its tough sometimes for him to put up these kind of numbers that the other two do

hahaha. No one else has Duncan. Parker is easy top 10 pick for people this season because of Duncans rings and all the changes to teams concerning point guards. Some were traded to other teams, some teams are going through internal changes and some are getting older. Its a good time to be Parker.

Just curious and don't go all half cock on me for asking this question. Why is Wade not mentioned. The guy runs the Heats offense, scores a shitload of points and is averaging alomst 8 assit a game and of course has that ring. Thats a point guard in my opinion.

how is that ridiculuous. Deron is not clearly better than TP. out of those top 3, anyone of them could be #1 on any given night, or any given playoff series.

IMO I would pick Dwill out of those 3. but I am not surprised to see other ppl pick the other 2

CP3, TP, DWill are all so close that it's not ridiculous to say either one is ahead of the other. wake up homer jazz fan

7 - Andre Miller
8 - Rajon Rondo
9 - Baron Davis
10 - Jameer Nelson

Honorable mentions (players who could be there): Devin Harris, Derrick Rose, José Calderon, Russell Westbrook, TJ Ford. Mike Bibby is a top 10 pg this season, not if you consider the last 3 or 4.

Guys who are competent enough and guards who can play the position in the right team: Kirk Hinrich, Derek Fisher, Raymond Felton, Chris Duhon, DJ Augustin, Steve Blake, Mario Chalmers, Monta Ellis, Mo Williams, Luke Ridnour, Ramon Sessions.

It's hard to argue with the top 3. I mean yes TP has accomplished more but I don't see him as a better facilitator than cp3 or dwill. I don't think his passing is quite as pretty as those two. He is more of a scorer. nothing wrong with that. I still don't think he commands the attention that cp3 and dwill get tho. I guarantee you teams #1 goal is to stop deron and cp3 everytime they play the jazz and hornets. The spurs its more like stop duncan and manu with tp a solid third. All great pg's tho. I want to say give me deron just for his sick filthy crossover!

You might want to check again. Billups averaged 21 points and 5 assists in the series. He shot very well - 51% overall, which is astonishing considering how inefficient he usually is. But he didn't put up "25/10".

In any case, that was five years ago.

Not to hate on tony. That's not my intention. I'm not trying to be a dick, but there's Deron & Paul (and arguments for either)... and then everybody else.

Would I say TP is the third best PG in the league? Yeah, maybe, if not for Chauncey, but the chasm between 2 and 3 is miles wide.

IMHO in all objectivity we have 3 PGs at the top: cp3 dw tp then the rest.
CP3 is the best of the 3 : the only one seriously within a discussion for mvp. Between dw and tp my homer heart says tp this season, he has demonstrated he can carry a team alone against good competition. He also deserves respect for his mvp finals and his three rings and he has a hot wife which is also important.

The Nuggets have slipped lately but there is no way Tony Parker is better than Chauncey. Chauncey murders Tony Parker. If Tony Parker was in Denver instead of Chauncey they would be missing the playoffs, not the Suns. Do you realize how good the Spurs would be if they had Chauncey instead of Parker? Parker can get inside very well, but that is all he has on Chauncey. Chauncey is superior defensively, shooting (3 point, midrange, and FT), assists, TO's, leadership, and strength.

It's definitely not the first time that other people have a different opinion. No problem with that. But I don't think you will find many people that think DWill is only #3 behind CP3 and Parker. Parker is within the Top 3, I agree, but I think CP3 and DWill are still better.

You don't really need a player like Chauncey Billups on the Spurs. When your team is already stacked with leadership (Pop, Duncan, Bowen), another leader won't make much of a difference. Parker is perfect for the Spurs because he provides something that the Spurs don't have much of outside of him: Youth, speed, an unguardable scoring machine.

Besides, Parker is as clutch, if not more clutch, than Chauncey is these days. This is coming from a Suns fan, though.
