"Now they've got Drew Gooden, whom Pop expects to see action next week. The Spurs have some solid big men already that bring different things to the table, but Gooden seems to be the kind of guy that has EVERYTHING the Spurs want in a secondary big man."

I don't get it. Are the Pop heads good? Like, "This article gets 5 out of 5 Pop heads"?

what the fuck? this sounds exactly like when Houston got Ron Artest. They said Rockets were gonna win it all :lol

Gooden has not even played 1 game on silver and black. and Manu hasn't played in a month. It MIGHT makes us favorites, but also it might not. 50-50

I don't think ANYBODY said that about Artest joining the Rockets. But it seems like too many people are forgetting that Popovich is the head coach here.

He's not bringing in Gooden right away because he needs to learn the system. And he's not bringing in Manu yet because he wants to make sure his body can handle game speed.

If you've lost THAT MUCH trust in the way Pop runs this team, then I don't think saying anything will make you feel good about the playoffs.

Spurs favorites?? I don't know about that....I think they'll be in the mix but the Lakers are the favorite, regardless of who the Spurs add.

I am not convinced that we will see a healthy Manu, Tim or Gooden this season. Regular season ends in 5 weeks!

Assuming Manu can play without getting injured has become a lost cause the past 2 seasons.

I just hope Gooden continues to give those that are excited about his arrival reason to be so. I'm kind of indifferent at this point, but I would hope rebounding and shot-blocking are in his cards.

I know Glenn Robinson was a different animal, but he wasn't very important in our title run.

When did we get Nazr? He jumped in an helped immediately

If a Manu-less, Gooden-less Spurs can take down LA tonight, it'll tell us all we need to know going in to the playoffs.
