View Full Version : Is My Dad a curse to the Spurs?

DuncanMVP
03-11-2005, 07:21 PM
EVERY team he has ever wanted to win the title has lost. I seriously cannot think of ONE team he has cheered for ended up winning

He Wanted:
Philly to win, they lost
Yankees to win, they lost
UCONN to lose, they won
Tampa Bay lighting to lose, then won

My dad suddenly became a Spurs fan last year win he noticed the Spurs were my fav team... WHAT A SHOCK, Spurs lose in a heartbreaker to the Lakers

His fav NFL team is the Bills. He's been a Bills fan his entire life

THEY LOST 4 STRAIGHT SUPERBOWLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is your dad's name Axis?

DuncanMVP
03-11-2005, 07:23 PM
no, where did that come from?

Solid D
03-11-2005, 07:24 PM
The world revolves around the Axis.

DuncanMVP
03-11-2005, 07:25 PM
take what I said however you want

But every team he wants to win, ALWAYS loses

Solid D

It's probably just one of those things.

DuncanMVP

Solid D

By the way, I'm sure your dad is a great guy and he'll pick a winner soon enough. The value of a dad doesn't correspond with picking sports winners. It's the heart and the love that makes him great.

Have faith. Even if it doesn't, it won't be because of your dad.

Okay now you got me worried, time for some drastic measures if you ask me. But then again, If I don't pull the foam "GO Spurs GO" finger out of the closet and and put it upside down on the best seat in the house the Spurs always lose. My kids know that thing is not to be played with....lol

Pretty simple solution of you ask me. Just kill your dad before the playoffs.

Problem solved.

[/dark humor / sarcasm]

*Please note - Neither Spurstalk.com, FullSportPress.com, nor the poster known as Mark in Austin actually advocate killing of parents. This post was made purely in jest.

That reminds me of that King of the Hill episode where Bobby takes the woman's self defense class and then starts kicking everyone in the nads. "I don't know you! Don't take my purse!" cracks me up every time!

A humiliating story...

When I was 13, I thought I had to hum and wave my arms to the side during every Spurs shot. If they didn't and I missed, it was my fault.

I blamed myself for the 1990 playoff defeat when they went ice cold in Game 7, because I was too excited to remember to hum and wave my arms. Finally my brother convinced me that I was being a total fucking retard nerd and to shut the hell up.

DuncanMVP, you need to be told that you are being a total fucking retard nerd. Shut the hell up. Please proceed immediately to ther nearest location where they are passing out lives.
