It seems the light bulb just went on for Dexter:

Today - 19pts, 20 reb, 4 blk
Yesterday - 26 pts, 10 reb

He definitely has the size and quickness/agility but does he become a good NBA player? If he continues improving like this he'll be a dominant post player for UT next season. I know Barnes has a 6'7" kid out of Dallas Lincoln HS who can shoot the 3 with deep range, but if he can get some shooters around Pittman and James they could be pretty good next season.

Him and Abrams are best friends for life. When the horns are in trouble their magic rings allow them to morph into a single bad ass player who is 415 lbs and shoots threes like reggie miller.

he's been a man amongst boys, but i wouldn't say NBA. neither colorado or KSU has anything remotely resembling an NBA post player to defend him this year.

I think he goes to the NBA without a doubt. They always draft big bodies. Whether or not he'll be worth a shit will only be answered when he's in the league. He's got very soft hands, and a great FT stroke. I haven't seen an outside game from him, but if his FT is any indication, he should be fine in due time, in that department.

Stamina is his glaring weakness.

He will, but he needs to fix a lot of things. Reminds me a little too much of Sean May (Bobcats).

Pittman is definitely an NBA prospect. on the right team with the right coaching and strength/conditioning program, he could be great - but it would take a while for him. I don't think Pete Newell threw out calling Dex a "beast" lightly. He does need to work a lot on his fouls and on the defensive end.

Doesn't he remind you of Sean May though? You're right about conditioning. In the shape he's in right now, he's not an NBA draft pick in my opinion.

dude has worked damn hard to get where he is, and i don't really seeing him stopping that. he's dropped at least 70 lbs in the last 3 years

May was a better athlete who had range out to 14 feet...and he barely gets off the bench on a bad (well, recently mediocre) team.

He's going to need games like that if Texas wants to advance far in the bracket.
