Didn't realize the SpursTalk board had this "Geek Zone" until just now. I posted this over in the Club section last night, but here it is again, in case you missed it there.
The GeekSpeak blog over at the San Antonio Express-News' website ran a post yesterday asking San Antonians if they cared to have their own annual sci-fi/fantasy/horror convention. Austin, Dallas, and Houston have their own shows of this kind, but SA never has had its own annual. We currently have a few cons like Chimaeracon, SanJapan, and the Live Oak Civic Center trade shows that address very specific niche audiences, but not the full range of genre, especially the literary side.
If you want San Antonio to have its own, please make a comment over at the E-N blog and maybe SA can build momentum toward having an annual sf/fantasy/horror con of its own.
