There is a piece out on Duncan already that this sounds exactly like. But in case it's new, or for anyone who hasn't seen it, mark your calendar. The Spurs Hardwood Classics are always fun too. :)

NBA TV

Premiere Night (Wed., March 18):

At 7:30 p.m. ET, NBA Journey:

Tim Duncan will explore the journey that led the San Antonio Spurs forward to become a four-time NBA Champion, two-time league MVP and one of the greatest power forwards to ever play the game. The special travels with Duncan back to the island paradise he calls home, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Viewers will see how Duncan embraced swimming before basketball, and how Hurricane Hugo and the death of his mother had a lasting effect on his development. The show will also feature visits to Duncan's old school and basketball court and provides first-hand accounts of relatives and friends on St. Croix to give a full picture of this quiet NBA superstar.

Legends Night (Thurs., March 19):

Thursday nights on NBA TV will continue to showcase the rich heritage of the NBA during Legends Night. This week, Legends Night will feature the San Antonio Spurs with Hardwood Classics of team’s NBA Title-winning games including the 1999 NBA Finals Spurs/Knicks Game #6, 2003 NBA Finals Nets/Spurs Game #6 and the 2005 NBA Finals Game Pistons/Spurs #7.

I hadn't seen the Duncan Chronicles yet, thanks for the heads up.

I'd rather forget about those particular Hardwood Classics though :lol

the same one featured in the Spurs 2004-05 Championship DVD?

Yes. It's called 'Tim Duncan goes home' on that DVD.

Here's a minute and a half preview for it, the show will be 30 minutes.

I love this video! I'm from St. Croix and its great to see our island get some props. Let me know if you guys have any St. Croix questions.

The whole thing is on youtube (and in the TD mini forum). This is the same thing, right?

It's just a minute and a half preview. I think the whole thing has been removed from you tube, at least the ones I had have been.

I think so. The description is exact. As far as I know there aren't any new pieces on Duncan. I hope to be surprised with a new one, but I think it's going to be this one.

Bump to remind anyone interested: Duncan's Journey airs tonight. Spurs.com has the 30 second preview up.

I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't had a chance to see it. I would have loved to get some new stuff, but I'm glad they're giving him some air time.

I feel at peace just watching that preview. No wonder Tim's so laid-back. :)

Not to speak of. It was made in '04, aired in early '05. Duncan was a 2 time Champion at that time, for this airing they edited in '4 time'. And they had a current minute with Pop, beard and all. But other than those quick seconds it was the same.
