Andrew "Test" Martin, a former world champion wrestler, was found dead in his Harbour Place apartment last night at age 33, according to Tampa Police.
Police say at this time there is no indication of foul play.
At about 8 p.m., police responded to the Post Harbour Apartments, 725 Harbour Place Drive, to check on Martin, according to a media release. A neighbor reported that she could see into his apartment through a window and that Martin appeared motionless for several hours.
Officers entered the apartment and found Martin dead. He was transported to the Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The date of the autopsy is undetermined at this time.
The next of kin has been notified of the death.
The Canadian-born wrestler was a former World Wrestling Entertainment Champion.
His trademark move, according to his IMDB biography, is listed as a Full Nelson Slam.
Martin made local news last April when he was arrested in Pasco County and charged with driving under the influence.
He had just returned from a tour of Japan, according to his MySpace page and was scheduled to leave for a tour of Europe on March 16, the day before his birthday.
"This is with the crew from Ireland," he wrote on his MySpace page. "These guys hold a special place in my heart because they stuck by me when I was going thru some hard times and we all ended up becoming good friends. Great guys and fantastic people to work for, from Martin, to Mick, Joe, Jamie, Grant, Patty, Justin Shape, Lizzy, Anne, Ken, the whole crew are just great and I'm looking forward to this trip."
On his MySpace page, Martin listed his dad as his hero.
