This is a fantastic game so far.

Just when it seemed the Lakers were gonna run away with it (after going on a 13-0 run) the Sixers come right back with a 19-4 run of their own to take a 1 point lead 81-80 in the fourth.

Good stuff.

If LA loses (which I still think they won't), just like a lot of Laker losses, their one clear cut Achilles heel, speed at the PG position, will be the reason why. If SA wants any shot against them Parker is gonna need a huge series.

Which is unfortunate, because Phil Jackson does the best job of any coach in the league at keeping Parker out of the paint.

Also factor in that Ariza guards Parker extremely well. (He wasn't on Parker as much as I expected him to be in the last game)

This is why the one game the Suns won against them this year was when Barbosa started at point and had 22 points and 7 assists.

wow Kobe

He may have even gotten fouled on that.

Iggy needs to just dunk the hell out of it before the buzzer. The Sixer have been able to get to the rim easily in this game.

Completely deserved. Lakers were living on phantom fouls on Gasol, while Philly couldn't buy a call. Good to see you can still win in LA even if you're playing 8 against 5...

at first no, because they were all part of a big 13-0 run.

However, they did give way to Philly going on a 19-4 run that put them in the driver's seat for the rest of the game.

its strange but true. something about the bobcats and sixers of the league, but we can sweep cleveland and boston. NBA i guess

Lakers bench is overrated.

Once Manu comes back and Gooden gets in the rotation. We will have the best bench in the West.

bench sucks since bynum is gone. powell isnt exactly a go to guy, once bynum back its either him or odom and that bench is back. just simple basketball. powell as your inside precense = oh oh

as of right now, the lakers bench looks like one of the worst in the league, but early in the season they definitly looked like the best. Radmanovic/bynum has something to do with this, that trade doesnt look that good for us since we lost are best shooter. oh well, hoping for the best for brown/morrison to step up.

Untill the score with 6 seconds left, Kobe had only 9 points.

When was the last time he scored under 10? For that matter, when was the last time he scored 11 or less?

TampaDude

The Lakers starting five is awesome, but their bench hasn't impressed me lately...hell, if the Spurs knew how to make their fucking FTs, they probably would've beaten the Lakers the last time around, even after spotting them an 18-point lead.

kobe had one of his worst games of the season. but its still amazing, the guy shot was off all night and he stiill was able to make that clutch shot.

I'm sure once Bynum comes back that'll make life easier more than people may realize, as Odom will continue playing well off the bench and spark the second unit

DrHouse
03-18-2009, 12:29 AM
Lakers bench sucks royal monkey cock, but once Bynum returns that will be moot because either he or Lamar will be playing with the 2nd unit.

Lakers with the epic fail tonight. Foul to give an Ariza blanks and gives up the 3 to Philly's most clutch shooter.
